worth it.
gold is easy to get, while laurel is static
Guild Pro Baddies [Pro] @ Tarnished Coast
In my opinion, not worth it.
I was really tempted in getting it at first, and if you want a balanced stats it’s worth it, but not if you’re just focusing on a few stuff.
I focus on Power/Toughness/Vitality, and my damage isn’t the best because of the lack of Critical and Critical Damage. While this helps both deficiencies, the loss of Power isn’t worth it in terms of raw damage.
Well you could look or figure the math if you want, but 50 Power > 40 Precision and 5% Critical Damage at least for my stats/gear/build.
A small gain in health/defense but the power cost is too high in my opinion. The extra healing is helpful though if I’m thinking about support and it’s still a better damage than a support focused gear such as Cleric, but I’d rather do more damage and heal 5~ less on my VoR.
I much prefer the Mark of the Imperial Guard.

I am quoting this post, only for the reason that it has a build editor that ISN’T spvp based. thank you.

I had this from when they were still relatively cheap to make ( unfortunately this is no longer the case ), and upgrading them to ascended costs practically nothing.
Gold is only “cheap” for folks that can play enough to collect it, so go for whichever version will require less farm time for you.
Also be sure it’s what you’re looking for – it’s good if you are striving for a balanced build.
Well, for me (Support Guardian), this amulet and the other all-stater amulet available from Laurel vendor are the only ones with +healing on it. =/

I’m not a big fan of the Celestial line of stats because they’re so unfocused. When you make a build, you don’t toss a few points into everything to get the “best of all worlds,” now do you? No, you focus the build around 3 or 4 trait lines in order to hit certain key synergistic traits. Would you not want, then, to have a gear loadout that is equally focused? I should hope so. If you are interested in this amulet purely for the ability to use it with a large blanket of builds, then I still think you’re wrong. You should have different gear sets for different builds, if it is warranted. Not one set for all builds. Your character ends up being suboptimal in all ways.
Lastly, the Celestial items do indeed have more stat points than the regular items, but it’s absolutely irrelevant. 10 extra points distributed into 8 different stats has an influence so minimal that it is essentially nil.

Well, on my Guardian I like them (I have 2 celestial rings + 1 earring) because I stack primarily +healing, +toughness, and +power and there aren’t any ascended +healing rings. It helps give me some DPS stats AND they’re the only pieces that have vitality, toughness, and +healing all in one.
So I lose 30 toughness and 40-50 healing and gain +40 vitality, 5% crit damage, and precision which I don’t have. It’s a balanced tradeoff.

Hi again everyone,
You’re all making good arguments, and I’m taking everything into consideration. I’m not looking for one gear set for every build. I’m looking for one gear set for my one build. I’m 0/10/30/30/0 traited, and I’m trying to have my stats as optimal as possible.
When I first started playing Guardian, I used berserker’s armor. I quickly learned that devoting to only a select few stats wouldn’t get me far as a Guardian. I’m now using different pieces of gear to boost up all my stats to certain levels. The reason I’m so tempted to buy the penant, is because it’s so universal. Each stat is equally boosted, rather than three having their attributes upped.
The other way I can look at it, is that by having a necklace with more focused stats is I can boost my dps. I’m more of a fight and kite guardian. I use GS and scepter/shield. I switch to my staff when I need AoE damage.
More help would be appreciate :-D

I was actually tempted at first; however, if you actually think about it and do the math, it is really not worth it. Right now I have more than half the materials to craft triforge but I think I might just sell all my mats or still try to get triforge but resell it.
The amount of total points triforge gives is nice but 50 of it goes into healing and 50 goes into condition damage. In my eyes, these two attributes are really useless cause their effects as opposed to power/precision/critdmg/toughness/vit are minimal (unless you are one of those people that go all out on healing, imo not necessary). Also, the 4% magic find is nice but you need to decide whether this is your farming or fighting amulet. Personally, I plan to have 2 amulets in which one is dedicated to farming with full MF and the other dedicated to damage/survivability.
If you take out these 3 stats, you would be better off with the amulets with concentrated stats.
tl;dr
If you plan to have a MF set and a fighting armor set, do not get triforge.
If you plan to have one set of armor, triforge might just be for you but I wouldn’t recommend it cause it’s 200g+. Rather just wait a month and get the same reward AND not use my gold.

Getting the triforge pendant was probably one of the most frustrating thing I’ve ever done. It wasn’t easy to get due to the amount of materials you need to just craft it. What’s worst is that a LAUREL AMULET WITH THE EXACT SAME STATS came out right after I finished crafting mines and turning it into an ascended. The upgrade’s components gone now and a laurel version is out that I could’ve went after if I wanted an utility slot. I was awfully disappointed with Anet and felt like it was a wasteful effort in crafting this. At least have the amulet display an effect on your character?
