Guild Wars 2

I just recently got my noob guardian to lv80. I’m looking for an exotic armor set to start with but I have no idea what stats I’m looking for. I keep hearing different types of guardians (meditation?!?! Wut is that)

Can somebody list some of the build types and stats I should look for the armor set?
I think people tend to go full zerk (does that mean power precision ferocity) but what are other options that’s good for dungeons, fractals with more support/survivability ?

I mainly use GS/ sword and focus, sometimes change sword to scepter for pew pews.

For regular dungeons and open world pve, you can pretty much always gor with berserker armor. If you don’t think will survive with that (be it your lag problems, or you don’t trust yourself with your gameplay) you can support it with a tanky rune set or accessories.

For fractals, a little tankiness really is needed at high level fractals. You can go with knight armor and/or a little tanky traits, accesorries and stuff.

For example; I use full berserker armor, runes and traits with some tanky accessories for dungeons; and knight armor, soldier runes, a little tanky dps traits with berserker accessories for fractals. (and full tanky everything gor wvw, if you care about that). This way I’m not all squishy or very clunky tank with no dps.

For pve, the best gear is berserker ( power/precision/ ferocity). Check the guide “DPS guardian for pve” stickied on this forum. You don’t want to be tankier in fractals because the mobs one shot you in berserker and two shot you in soldier. You need to use active defenses like blinds, aegis, blocks, invul, protection.. in order to survive. If you have trouble at first, use a knight set and switch to berserker when you’re more confident.
