Guild Wars 2

I’m a bit nervous as I post this, because it’s the first GW2 (or any YouTube) video I’ve uploaded, but here goes…

This is various footage from WvW and PvP, playing on my hybrid (power and condition) meditation guardian.

Though I wasn’t seeking out a specific type of opponent, this video has plenty of duels against thief, warrior, and ranger players.

While dueling some of the warriors, a thief and necro player interrupted. I left these clips in, as I felt it showcased how this build can apply sustained pressure, even with some cooldowns spent, and facing a fresh opponent.

NOTE: With food and runes, this build has +100% burning duration.

In WvW, I am running runes of the flame legion, carrion armor and weapons, with celestial accessories.

The weapon sets are sword/torch and scepter/focus, with sigil of doom and sigil of geomancy.

In PvP, because you can’t mix gear stats, I am using a carrion amulet (not celestial). Weapons, sigils, runes are the same.

s/t is great against thieves as they cant stand near you and when they go SB you kite them with scepter focus for blocks

do more and dont be nervous
try to do more 1080pi and shorter videos like 10-15 min

i would like to see more class like shatter mesmer , turret engi, d/d ele, bunker guard etc

So I went ahead and tried this in spvp hot join, I liked it. In some ways similar to Zerk med different in others. However I then went ahead and bought some gear for WVW and I don’t like it there. Seems good for dueling, but the escapes are weak and there is NO run speed for roaming. Probably going to ditch the carrion gear

Yeah, I hear you on run speed.

I find myself wishing I had traveler runes when covering large maps.

In terms of escapes, with the difference being no greatsword, it’s comparable to a power based meditation build.

But yeah, a shouts-based build would definitely have more stun-breaks and stability.

Good stuff, except you sometimes use defensive utilities when you shouldn’t have to. Keep your cooldowns. There’s instances where you blew 2 cooldowns at once when it wasn’t needed.

Yeah, I get overzealous at times, and try to double-hit with judge’s intervention and smite condition (even without a condition on me).

I don’t claim to be an expert player by any means, still trying to get better. The feedback is appreciated!

People seem sort of upset either for/against a hybrid (aka “condi”) build.

Honestly, I just play it because it’s fun. I threw it together as a lark, and it actually ended up being pretty decent.

I think of it this way: Would I craft ascended gear for this build? No. But is it enjoyable to play as “funzies”? Heck yeah.

put some duels with s/d thieves in tpvp (not wvw) and some shatter mesmer pls

i havent used this build in wvw . but now i have and its not just fun but so good . sure more players are but noob and with no condi cleanse which kill them very quickly
