Vigor Nerf
Correct me if I’m wrong…but I believe guardians are the only class left that has access to perma-vigor. They’re probably just bringing it in line with all the other classes.
^ Does that means that Guardians will be in line with another classes in terms of condition damage, Voltric? Because evades are almost the only thing that prevent Guardins for being melted in five to ten seconds under the attacks of a single Condimancer.
To be honest, evades doesn’t be as crucial against foes capables to spam a constant stream of conditions, due -sigils aside- in the first minute of fight a Guardian will be able to potentially perform about 6,9 evades (the two first ones + another one each 10 seconds), and permanent vigor will add at most another 2 ones. With the new patch we are talking about maybe an extra evade x minute instead of two.
Anyway, I’m almost done with this class: as soon as I get the Champion Parangon achievement (left a few dozens) I’ll focus my time in sPvP/dungons in one of my Warriors. In year and half the only valuable change in Guardians was the enhance of the speed in the scepter bolts. The stalemate and lack of variety/incentives in this class is such embarrasing (I almost regret the Twilight I did forge for Him).

@Dynnen: They haven’t said. I was thinking since we weren’t included in the first pass of vigor nerfs that they had to put some extra thought into it but I am starting to think they are just going to nerf that and see our response.
@Voltric: Currently Guards, Mesmers, and Eles have it. Guards and Mesmers will be losing it with the next balance patch. And as Buran said, some classes need more mitigation than others so “bringing things in line” could end up being more profound than it initially appears. With our heal on dodge, the vigor nerf could cause major issues here, although, with the boon duration on bunker builds it may not make a difference to bunkers. The nerf should be a decent hit to offensive guards though especially since i think they are also doing something to sigil of energy.
@Buran: If you are intent at rerolling, you can always use the transmutation trick to move your twilight to another character. All you need is a transmutation stone, a white greatsword and a transmutation splitter.

You are wrong.
Mesmers, Engineers and Elementalists also have perma vigor through 5s Vigor traits with a 5 second cooldown.

Well then. I stand corrected. Thanks
Our traits and utilities are supposed to be good enough to make up for our lack of HP.
Fortunately we have more dodges than other- ohwait.

This… They are taking away an important part of our survival in PvP with no compensation. Our health pool should be bumped up to mid tier. That’d be a start.

Warriors can get it also several ways. Then again, they get everything

I actually LOL’d this, one of those chuckles that have a tinge of saddness in it….
wup de doo who cares guards are easy anyway

Not that easy. You need to really be on your toes when you have a MM and a condi heavy build pressuring you in a team fight. I think a spirit ranger or MM is much easier. But maybe you just a PvP God.

Then stop making general statements like the one you made without thinking of the game as a whole.
