Blunt of Balthazar – 80 Human Guardian
Khan of Feurt – 80 Charr Necromancer
Hello guys,
i’ve recently been comparing my 2 guardian builds with eachother in cursed shore. Just doing some tests on the damage output on raw whirling wrath damage with no might stacks or anything.
Build 1 human guardian:
http://gw2buildcraft.com/calculator/guardian/?3.3|1.1n.h15|c.1n.h15.d.1n.h1|1n.7h.1n.7h.1c.7h.1c.7h.1c.7h.1n.71j|21k.0.2t.0.3t.0.1g.67.1g.67.8c.67|0.f6.u65b.k28.5|0.0|v.16.19.18.1i|e
Build 2 norn guardian:
http://gw2buildcraft.com/calculator/guardian/?3.0|1.1n.h15|6.1n.0|1p.7h.1g.7h.1n.7h.1g.7h.1n.7h.1g.71j|1g.67.1g.67.1g.67.1g.67.1p.61.8g.67|0.a6.u600.u28b.0|0.0|0.0.0.0.0|e
With no might stacks or vuln stacks build 1 hits for about 3.600 where build 2 only hits for 2.900 with a whirling wrath. Both have been tested in de same area with the same enemies.
I would have thought that my norn build would have hit for about 4k due to almost the same power, precision and even more crit hit damage, but it won’t. When im lucky with the second build ill hit 3.6 but mostly it is about 2.9k
Can anyone tell me what i am missing stat wise or is it because of the Norn animation it loses damage?
that’s because i believe it is bugged.
it won’t show all 7 hits + 2 wave most of the time unless you are human male.
my human female only shows about 4 hits so i do about 2k WW but i still take out almost 1/2 of people’s life with it, so it can’t be that person only has 4k life …
in fact, for WW, you actually do more dmg than the dmg counter if you whirl inside the target by setting melee attack assist off.

if you want to know what your WW really hits roughly, just do a GS auto attack chain
3 strikes will give you roughly the same dmg as WW not counting the waves it shoot out.
