Just hit level 5 with my fiance after a couple months away from the game. She chose to play a Warrior this time around for the high damage output. I decided to try out the Guardian for the first time. Currently I’m using a GS and am loving the high damage, but would like to start practicing with an alternate weapon setup to fulfill more of a support role.

What weapons would best compliment leveling duo with a Warrior?

I suggest going with hammer, it has nice support in form of protection symbol. And for second weapon slot you could use Staff simply for its support capabilities.

If you are going for even more defensive approach go with Mace + Shield/Focus. Mace gives nice defensive + healing capabilities.

Thanks for the hammer suggestion. I’ll give that a shot this evening. Sounds like it’s a nice balance of dps and support?

1. Hammer with writ of the merciful traited (20 honour) this will give your partner 100% protection uptime as well as extra healing form the symbol. Also you may want to trait for battle presence (30 honour) as this will also give more healing to him.

1. Mace/+ DPS wise its not too bad. But the healing from the symbol is higher than the Hammers symbol as well as healing being done on the third strike of the mace.

Hammer does better DPS and also does AE damage. My personal choice for any situation.

After you grab some gear for decent crit chance, you could run GS + Empowering Might (Honor 20) for nice might stacks.
