What about Meditations + Virtues build?
He’s basically trading 100pts in Zeal for more Stability utilities in Virtues. Otherwise you would treat the build as the usual Zerk meta; staff is only really useful if you’re running altruistic healing. If not, stay with 1 handers and hammer/gs.
This build, if your using stability correctly, can be very strong when stomping warriors, rangers and guardians.

Not a fan of it. But then again, I’m not a fan of 2/1/6/1/4 either.
It really depends on the team comp. For example, it worked well for Tage because both Helseth and Sizer (Mesmer and Thief) lack stab and clears. It’s a very solid build but I don’t believe it’s necessary for every comp.
Also Hammer and Scepter are strong atm. With all these cele builds running around. There is a lack of stab, since you don’t have bunker guards any more with AoE stab. So you can take advantage of all the CC they bring.

a lot weaker 1v1 but it works well vs the current meta (engis eles warrs). Hammer is nice with the ring and banish as well as fast burst thats safe to drop and get out with, while scepter lets you do damage and immob without being in the fray of things (let the eles do that). It’s a lot weaker in 1v1 and vs DPS (mes/thief) oriented classes than the 21614 sw/f gs variant but in this meta it makes a really good spec for us guards to fit in.
I don’t really like hammer because every skill, especially 3 and 4 are so situational that it is a pretty bad weapon in 1v1s and still pretty meh in 2v2s.
The stab on f3 is also very situational, in many situations it’s kind of unneccesary since a well timed aegis would do pretty much the same. It’s cool against engis and eles though, giving you and your team stab when there is an ele with shocking aura or an engi runnning a arround with slick shoes it can be pretty nice. Also it can be nice in bigger teamfights where one aegis wouldn’t be enough to secure the stomp.
Basicly hammer sc/f 01616 is stronger in teamfights and it’s nice for some coordinated wombo combos but it’s a lot weaker in smaller fights and 1v1s. Since these smaller fights are kind of what zerker guard is best at I’m not really a fan of the build.
Also you give up even more damage which means you can’t kill mesmers and teefs that well anymore which is kind of your job as zerker guard.
I personally switch from 21614 to 01616 against celestial comps that have no mesmer/teef because the stab makes me last longer against eles and engis, it makes me more useful in teamfights and I probably won’t go for 1v1s anyways if there is no zerker and no hambow on the other team.
