What gear to use for this build??

You also want to min/max your gear, not take all berserker trinkets for example.

I’ ve read into AH hammer but that’s the thing, i do not want to copy-paste that build so I’m asking around for alternatives.. Seeing I will be using mace/shield + greatsword the AH gear recommendations don’t really go well for my build..
Thanks, Zaxxo
That guide is covering all aspects of almost every piece of gear, trait, utility, sigil and rune that works for the Guardian. It is all about understanding the aspects of the Guardian gameplay and tailor your configuration to your preference.
Personally I like pow/vit/tough but you need to consider your role. Are you going for dungeons? Vitality is pretty much wasted and you can get a better stat. Or are you a front-line commander in WvW making the push? You pretty much want full toughness and optionally vitality.
There is nothing that is perfect for every situation and every gameplay style. Choose.

Zaxxo,
I also read that healing power did not scale well for Guardian skills. So, I don’t know if that is worthwhile for you or not.
To Deathspike’s point – some items offer better ratio for stat trade off per percent of Crit Damage. Go to wiki.guildwars2.com, search for Item nomenclature, and scroll down to “Comparison of numeric vs. percentage attributes”.
Rings, Amulet, Gloves, Boots, and Shoulders are more favorable for Crit Damage.
So, one option to consider, and the one I am moving in for an AH build, is Beserker on those items and then Knights elsewhere else. Use Beserker Orbs on Trinkets.
Personally, I also went with Beserker Chestpiece and Weapons. And Toughness/Power/Crit Dmg Ascended Amulet. I decided to move from a Valkyrie set to this direction because I didn’t feel vitality was worthwhile. I am probably now more reliant on condition removal traits/skills, but seemed reasonable a swap for me.
