What is considered high healing power?
I consider my healing power high and it’s at 1322, so I’d say anywhere around the 1000+ mark.
Like JC said, anything over 1,000 should be considered high.
And then there is “Too High!!!” which is where I run at about 1490. I should be swapping some items around for a wee bit more DPS if truth be told.

It’s high when your dodge roll heals 1,5k.
mine sits around 1490 before stacking. I consider that high. every little bit helps, but if you’re over the 1k mark you can consider yourself “specialized”.

I will say when I’m running around you guys has a pug member you are usually the last one standing and also in the thick of things!
Question – is that all exotic, ascended, or just smart choices? I’m in clerics but exotic accessories. Then again I just assumed it was too much. Just goes to show how much I know!

As soon as dps is lowered to be close to ignorable, so anything above 750 is a waste in most scenarios.
So 600-750 is high imo.
You can achieve around 1,000 with Cleric’s trinkets and weapons and 20-30 points in Honor. That leaves 40-50 points to trait into a higher damage build (AH or MF) and room to run Knight’s or similar main-set with DPS-based runes such as Scholar or Eagle. This also ignores sigils, oils/stones and food. That said, you can get your HP pretty high without your damage being “ignorable.” People just get too used to spamming red splashes when that’s the first way they ever built their character. They feel “weaker.”
@OP: Either way, if you’re focused on PvE you probably won’t need Healing Power anyway (unless that’s just how you want to play). Building a character for WvW is a different thing entirely, and sPvP is chalk-full of cookie cutter builds to play with anyway.

I float around 1800 with NO boons running. (2200 in combat from Sigils/Food) I consider myself a “purist” in terms of support. Battle presence is ticking off around 300 points per second group wide for just….being there. In my testing I’ve found that healing only begins to outweigh the benefits of DPS (in a group) when you hit around 1600+… IMHO.
Dodge role healing with energy sigils on staff and shield is incredible
6/6 Runes of Dwayna for the regen that stacks with all other regens + battle presence
Mace+Shield primary
Condition removal via Virtues
All Clerics + Clerics Ascended
I run this build in WvW (with a few tweaks) and its VERY useful in Fractals at tier 48.
This builds allows most my groups to just “do their thing” and we do get the job done!
You REALLY have to love support for this build to be fun. Ive found my niche as a healer in a game where there are no “healers”
1 heal power is too high.
That said I run with 2000+ buffed. So useless seeing as how I do the same runs just as smoothly, but faster with my warrior without anyone in the group stacking heal power.
I consider 300-350 from regeneration pretty high. I think 1500ish gets you there, cant check atm though.

So…. I’ve just rolled a guardian, lvl 20 now~ Whats a good build for pure aoe healing? I heard traited mace gives 250 healing power so I’m jumping ship from regen warrior.

If you want AoE healing, you need Selfless Daring and then everything else is gravy. Staff gives you two more heals, Mace gives reliable Regen and AoE healing on third autoattack. You can run basically whatever else you want.

Meh, I’m not a great player and I prefer sitting behind the zerg providing support. Its purely a zerg support build. Why do I have to dps to be useful? And to be fair, I’m sitting at 2900-3000 attack, which is reasonable if I wanted to swing for bags~ The build might be better with apothecary gear tho
