What's the old GS Meta?

This is not the top DPS meta, but is still part of the old meta, and it is what I used to use. It has both, really good DPS, and really good utility survivability.
Swap utilities according to situation. Swap Signet only if you really need it

why sigil of air? rage lets you get more autoattacks in while your rotation is down = dps increase?

A build I used to level and farm pretty much since always before Dragonhunter:
Relatively cheap as well, if you’re swimming in gold you can get more expensive runes/sigils.
Strategy is pretty simple, Staff is your go to weapon for tagging mobs in huge events, if you’re solo, run tagging mobs with Staff, drop the Symbol, swap to GS, Symbol and WW. Collect bags and repeat. Use meditations when in trouble or want a quick burst (Fury) during the combo.
Apart from the random “hold the line” that was the meta before DH, yeah. Keep in mind that you should always switch traits and utilities arround depending on the encounter.

Sigil of air is far more dps than rage since rage has a waaay longer cooldown.
