Hello I’m currently using AC gear with rune of the monk but when I use elite skill it doesn’t seem to be working properly, I guess it’s bugged?

So I think of changing rune and go for rune of dwayna and rune of altruism. I want to know your opinion between these two runes that are feasible for a guardian.

I would choose neither of those 3 runes.
Better use soldier’s runes (Removes condition on shout; for everyone).
That with a combination of 3 shouts (SY/SYG/Retreat/HtL) and the AH build.

Soldier Runes are on the TP (not that cheap)

What does well too, are the Boon Duration Runes (2x Superior Monk, 2x Major Sanctuary, 2x Superior Water). They give you 40%+ Boon Duration, which is very useful in a (Shout-)AH-Build.

You can obtain the Major Runes of Sanctuary from the HotW Vendor (together 60 tokens), the Sup Water are relatively cheap on TP and the Sup Monks, well you have them already

Oh and Altruism is just crap because it only counts if you’re using the healing skill, not healing from regeneration, Virtue of Resolve etc.

Superior Runes of Dwayna or Altruism, especially if playing with many players and using Altruistic Healing (which of course, you don’t NEED to use.) Superior Runes of Dwayna have the added bonus of being grossly underappreciated, making them very cheap vs the most popular choices on the TP. I use Dwayna Runes on my two armor sets, and quite happily, I must add.

As for the healing skill, just make sure to use Shelter or Prayer of Dwayna for the lowest cooldown heals (or the signet with signet mastery for 32 secs cooldown.) We survive so well that using our heal skill to provide boons for the party is quite effective and with almost no downsides to it.

Another option would be to use a mix to increase your boon duration. Healing, after all, is just one part of our support, and regeneration is, after all, a boon, and protection can be more valuable than healing after the fact. Consider 2 or 3 each of Dwayna, Monk, Grove, or Water.

Monk and Water are the same rune type, correct? At least that is what I"m seeing. Only reason why I’m asking is because I really don’t want to dungeon crawl for the monk runes Water seem darn cheap and do the same thing with a base of 3 and 6 is elite skill vs. group it looks to be the only difference.

Main – Laaz Rocket – Guardian (Ehmry Bay)
Johnny Johnny – Ranger (Ehmry Bay)
Hárvey Wallbanger – Alt Warrior (Ehmry Bay)
