Uh….. Mesmer wall pull?
Anyways, it is because the mechanic it uses. The actual blade attack that then allows you to be pulled is a projectile and can be obstructed, however the actual pull is a debuff on you, that as long as you are in range, pulls you. Similar to the Mesmer wall pull, in which the pull is not a projectile but a single source that pulls everything around it in range. The difference is that guardian has to land the initial attack first.

It still pulls does it not? Guardian pull acts the exact same way. Also, I have seen multiple people be pulled off the wall without being on the edge before, It depends on the positioning of the curtain on the wall and the person on the wall., not if the person can attack you or not.

the curtain doesnt pull you off the wall if you cannot attack the people below the wall. It only pulls you to the edge. If you can attack the people below, then be careful because the curtain will pull you off the wall

As another poster already noted, you CAN be pulled off a wall even if you can’t attack those below you. I just had this happen for the first time in WvW last night. Maybe it’s a new bug???
Not sure what happened exactly, but I was manning an AC along the back edge of the wall when all of a sudden I got pulled off the AC (not by a Guardian, I was never in LoS for his chain) to the front of the wall (one that has a little ledge) then pulled again right down into their zerg. Maybe 2 mesmers in a row got me? Anyway, I was shocked, but being a thief, I still lived…..then caused havoc among them w/ CnD, so maybe theirs wasn’t such a good idea, LOL.
