Does anyone else think that if enough people complain about wall of reflection, eventually it will have a HP Bar, much like “Spirit Weapons” and therefore become the nail in the coffin for the guardian nerfs. Revert Spirit Weapons back to invuln + Make reflect walls taller, and stay invuln

Really doubt that will happen. It may be get a cooldown or uptime adjustment, but there’s little reason to change it.

I agree with this. Spirit weapons had their own AI and being invulnerable offered very little counter-play when other “pets” were able to be destroyed (i.e. spirits, turrets, clones, elementals, etc.). They had some pretty powerful abilities (i.e. auto attack KB, continual projectile absorption, condi removal spam) for being able to persist as long as they did.

The closest thing I can see to an HP bar nerf is a limit on the number of projectile reflections, if anything. Spells like wall of reflection are limited on its capabilities. It’s a stationary, reactive ability compared to how spirit weapons could repeatedly use their abilities and move around like pets.

Wall of Reflection give the Guardian and its entire group a moment to breathe. Any enemies that continue to rush toward the group will be seperated and overpowered. With traits, you can keep it active about 1/3 of the time. However, it can be easily used to kill the Guardian with retaliation as each reflected projectile counts as an attack for the Guardian. You can wind up murdering yourself if the enemy attackers have retaliation available. It’s not that overpowered as it’s easy to avoid. It’s a pause in combat. As long as it’s active and the enemies aren’t near your group, everyone (enemies included) can heal up for the next assault. I wouldn’t call it overpowered. I would just say that players will complain about anything that kills them without a noticeable degree of skill, especially when getting killed by Wall of Relfection is their fault.

Think about it. How many mechanics in the game are complained about on a regular basis (even content not yet available like boon hate)? How many of those mechanics have been changed? Everything in the game can be countered, removed, or avoided. Work accordingly.

If anything, it will be nerfed because of PvE. It’s making too much PvE content too easy. If it does receive a nerf, it will probably just be a cooldown increase.

In sPvP, it’s not strong at all, and in WvW, it’s no stronger than the myriad of other AoE spam.

In sPvP, it’s not strong at all, and in WvW, it’s no stronger than the myriad of other AoE spam.

To be honest, a lot of PvE is easy, even before WoR is added to the equation.

No, you’re being ridiculous.

Spirit weapons needed their nerf – They were invincible, and extremely strong, pets you couldn’t do anything about. Admittedly the first nerf was ridiculously and unnecessarily heavy handed, but they seem more or less ok now.

Wall of Reflection, while extremely strong, has very evident counterplay – don’t shoot through it. Non-projectiles (ground targetted AoE, Guardian Staff, Beams, etc) don’t get reflected, and it forces the enemy to stand behind it if they wish for its protection. At worse, it causes a temporary stalemate.

Comparatively the old spirit weapons, once summoned, were pretty much unstoppable, giving the guardian free reign to do as they pleased meanwhile.

Huge difference.

Beam type attacks also aren’t reflected. I once had my hp go POOF! Vs. a zerg on my mesmer due to feedback→etaliation… and guards have a far lower hp pool. WoR is fine as is and I don’t expect any nerfs.

With invunerabled shield of the avenger traited on a zerg was an abuse.
Was invunerable for ~27seconds from range atacks.(miss that tho)

They wont do it for sure, that would kill consecrations line more than it is already with 120sec non traited bubble!
