[WvW&PvE] Magi Guard - Meditations DPS/Heal
I would HIGH recommend to NOT use magi equipment. It has the worse stats combination possible. You should try Knight, Cleric or even the new Zealot set (other people use Soldier and other stats, but I’m not a big fan of vitality), mixing them for what you want. Get a high amount of precision is worthless without Power to boost up, you’ll lose DPS.
Also you’ll use a meditation build (usually oriented more to DPS than support) and healing power wont do much for you (Monk Focus have – or close of – the worst healing scaling in the game), so you should use a zerker/knight (maybe soldier) mix in my opinion.
I thought about the Zealot statistics, but I will lose in Healing Power/Vitality/and an other stats ^^ because the rune I wanted to use was the Superior rune of exuberance which converts Vitality into several 3 stats =)
Don’t forget that I wondered to play with some allies, I think they will can boost me up. Otherwise, the staff would seem to be a better choice if my team is in lack of power?
Meditations are inherently selfish, because they only benefit yourself (with the exception of Merciful Intervention, and even there the recharge is too long to justify the subpar heal, coupled with the fact that you can’t choose who you teleport to) and even when traited, do not provide any form of support to your team. In this game, support is not all about healing. Building to heal is probably the worst possible thing you could do, since the shorter the encounters are, the less likely you are to die, and because healing builds sacrifice so much offensive power (Magi is the absolute worst choice, even Clerics’ does better by a long shot) for a stat that scales so poorly, you will inevitably lose out. By dropping offense you are increasing the time your team takes to kill stuff, which as I noted increases your chances of making a mistake and wiping as a result. A guardian is all about taking the fight to a foe and beating up anything that threatens your allies, not about standing back and healing people – those are healers, not guardians.
When playing in a group, I absolutely urge you to drop the meditations and run consecrations, because those actually do something for your teammates and have longer lasting effects. In situations where you don’t need Wall of Reflection you should always carry Purging Flames – that’s easily the consecration that works almost anywhere unlike the others because it clears 3 conditions from allies in its radius, generates a fire field and reduces incoming condition duration by 33% while in the field, and with the Master of Consecrations trait it lasts 6 seconds amd recharges in 28. What’s not to like?
If you want to play PvE in that gear, you can, but I absolutely guarantee you that you will struggle to handle mobs, and in the time it takes you to kill 1, a berserker will have already killed 7 or more. You’re running absolutely subpar gear, and I’d rather take a healway guard running AH over that anytime.
TL;DR: Magi gear with meditations sucks, go berserker with shouts and consecrations.

Many of these comments are for PvE, even if they aren’t outright stating it. Magi could be decent in WvW (I really want to find niches for the less popular stat arrays). The only issue is, you have to really know what you’re capable of skill-wise, and build-wise.
I like the desire of the build, though I’d tweak it a few ways.

Like others have said, there’s a lot of precision, lots of healing, and even a bit of crit damage, but no power. Soldiers armor and beryl jewels will give some of that much needed power. One of the problems of Runes of Exuberance and Guardian is that we don’t have any Vitality stat conversions, so we’re stuck with only 3 forms of 3% vitality.
I also tweaked your traits a little. Symbol healing will always help all the time, while Battle Presence only helps non-guardians. Mace can also give you quite a bit of healing, especially with the symbol traits and everything else.
All in all, I’d be willing to run this in WvW, but it’d definitely be an interesting experience, and you might find it doesn’t do all you wanted it to. For PvE, its mostly unnecessary unless the party you’re with is really struggling.
When you are almost always fighting outnumbered part of your build has to be selfish so you can survive when getting focused.
TLDR: Meditations aren’t necessary for zerglings.

So, change the Magi stuff by the Zealot one would be extremly better? It could give me enough power to not be in lack of. It will do like the PvP build I done with Valkyria’s amulett.
that 1.1k power with abundant precision and critical damage is really, really scary.
It’s like throwing stats down the toilet, but the same applies to vitality and healing power, since you make the least effort to get toughness and make it count.
in other words, you get 0×100500×100500 damage and 0×100500×100500 survivability, since you do not get synergistic stats. Sounds pretty horrible to me.

For PvE I highly recomend to use full zerker.
For WvW I did recently a Zealot/Cleric combination (I want DPS with support – I never liked to be too tanky) and I do a really good DPS, high support and average tank.
My build is (where is empty I put Zealot – the editor still don’t have this set):
In the jewels you can use zealots – you’ll get ~90 power more and keep the precision and healing power. You can also use Focus instead of Shield.
I have about 1840 power, 25% crit chance, ~1400 healing power, 2800 armor (with strength in numbers) and 15k HP.
Even not full tank or the healway build I don’t have problems with survivability.
In my opinion, if you want to get healing power, you should use some kind of support skills, if not is worthless to use healing power. Then you should use knight/soldier/zerker mix if you have any/too little support (in your case). You only have Battle Presence (which, I don’t like, but are people that like).

I’m just wondering what runes I need to use…
I thought about Altruism and Golem
Which one seems to be better?

In France it did not convince a lot of people, just hoping it will not be the same on the english Gw2 official forum ><
