WvW Trinkets
What I usually do when i run into this problem is looking at my stats:
IMO, a zerg guardian should have at least:
- 3-3.2k armor
- 16-18k health (more is not needed, because you mitigate a lot of dmg)
- 3-3.2k power
- about 7-10% crit chance in order to regularly get vigor
The rest is really up to you. IMO, celestial gear is only good if you have a full set, because then you have a really balanced guardian which can be used for nearly everything in this game. (20k health, 3k armor, 2600 power, 45% crit chance, 90% crit damage, 450 condition damage, 650 healing power and so on..)
So no, I don’t think celestial is the way to go.
I recommend this build website. http://de.gw2skills.net/editor/
You can experiment with your stats and see what you need and what not.
my 2 cents
Full set as in trinkets, or full set as in trinkets armor and weapons?
Hi
You can have different trinket set-ups without ascended. Juts try out exotics 1st for the respective builds you are trying. If you find you dont like the build, then you wont need the ascended for it.
You can buy cheap exotic jewelry of off TP, and in some stat combos, of off the Orr Temples for 42k Karma each. Just find which temple is open on which server, go guest to it buy your stuff.
Once you settle on exotic gear and build or 2, as I use 2 primary sets, 1 for WvW group and 1 for roaming or PvE, then buy your ascended. Do not experiment with ascended gear, get it after your experimentation is done.
I forgot to mention, be patient, fractals patch is coming and if you run some fractals, you will have rings flowing out your ears. For celestial stats currently you can buy exotics of off TP, or just have 1 of each type to = the celestial effect, roughly.
But still, do not experiment with ascended, experiment with exotics 1st.
I have full Celestial Trinkets… Love them. Never have to change them and I let my skill compensate for the ~minimal~ difference in stat efficiency.
I’ve never had a problem.

Your post is one of the reasons i asked.. it would be great to use the same trinkets for zerg an roaming…
