Hello. i recently turned level 80 and getting into more serious WvW. Im currently running an AH-EM build 0/1/6/6/1 with Force of Will to get the extra HP.

Still working on gear but i have Exotic Knights weapons (staff/hammer) and Soldier trinkets with soldier runes in the trinkets.

Unfortunately my armor is still Berserker (exotic) since i use it for PVE. Im working on replacing some pieces with Soldier armor. I have Hoelbrak runes in my armor and will be using condition damage reduction food.

I plan on doing WvW Zerg (not roaming) so my question is should i stick with the 0/1/6/6/1 build or can i drop the Force of Will and take Renewed Justice instead? 0/3/6/4/1 . I tried it in EoTM (i know, thats not real WvW) and i could spam VoJ so much i never lost HP but was wondering what would be best for a new WvW’er like me?

Ive read that by the time you can spam VoJ it already means my zerg is probably winning so its not much use. Also i will lose approx 4k HP by dropping Force Of Will.

Im not good enough at theorycrafting on this game to calculate if the AOE blind, 3 might stacks and burning is more beneficial overall than the 4k hp, Obviously all those buffs are good but i also need HP since im no good to anyone if im dead because i couldnt withstand some condi burst etc.

Thanks very much in advance.

Force of Will I don’t think is too needed unless you are leading. The other case is if you delve into clerics gear due to the lack of vitality, but that is not recommended for an AH build. For the most part surplus HP is used to withstand large bursts, but over long fights your ability to keep your health matters more and to negate conditions/damage is key to that.

Renewed Justice is pretty fun and may be optimal for farming extremely bad zergs like in EOTM. The effectiveness starts to drop drastically the better your opponents get. Barring that though, you wouldn’t really have much in the way of active condition removal either; you could take purging flames though.

I would say just stick with your current build. In place of Force of Will, there’s also Pure of Voice for condi removal or Two Handed Mastery (that’s actually my choice but I run 0/0/6/6/2) which you can try out.

For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards,
for there you have been and there you will long to return.

Spamming VoJ works pretty well if the zerg is doing well in the first place. Blind spams and all the might sharing is always good. The 4s of burning you give 5 allies each spam adds up to 20s total each time. Along with the unrivaled healing output for yourself. Each VoJ is ~1k healing, so I would take it over force of will. Another build to consider is 0/0/6/4/4 to pick up absolute resolution.

If you do run the VoJ spam build, I would suggest binding AA, VoJ and auto loot to three keys right next to each other. You will be pressing the three of them, a lot, and all at the same time.

Thanks. I tried it out again last night and Renewed Justice is so much fun in EoTm due to the sheer number of uplevels that just fall over with just a couple of hits allowing me to continuously give might to my allies, AOE blind and AOE burn.

By the way can burning crit? And if so does it proc empowering might which would also proc Altruistic Healing?

Anyway i also went to a real WvW map and i took force of will instead. I have purging flames traited so i may end up moving to a 0/0/6/6/2 build to get master of consercrations because then with Hoelbrak runes and condi food and purging flames, condis will do very little damage to me.
