Hi, is it true you don’t get honor badges if you play a support role? That will be a shame =/.

It’s half true. You get rewarded for doing damage, and a support build should still do damage. Playing pure support (not encouraged in this game) does not get any rewards.

You need to damage an enemy to get loot bags from them. No loot bags = no badges.

Remember that classes in GW2 are not intended to be played in a pure, focused role. You shouldn’t be playing a pure support role. You should have some damage output and some self defense if you want to do well.

Also, do I need to make " a good amount of damage" or just some hits will do?

From experiance, it seems to require you do a certain percentage of the damage. How much, I don’t know. Just tagging isn’t enough.

If you are rocking a staff, then spamming the autoattack into a furball in between support skills seems to be enough to net bags. Don’t forget to finish off the wounded when the fight is over for more bags
