This dps thing was all a smokescreen. I was gas lighting some dps motherkitteners. They were like, “Oh, we are safe in this idiot’s build. We are never getting beaten. Get some sword and focus all over this motherkittener. Post up greatsword. We own this place. This weak punk can’t play anything.”

Wow, I can’t believe people like this think they have made the jesus of all builds and try to sell this crap to poor people who are looking for honest help and then they stumble across this crap and start using it.

People that make builds like this and offer it to the public thinking they have done the public a service, when in fact they have only pulled off the biggest troll of all.

So 0/5/30/30/5 with celestial gear. People have been doing this for awhile now.

Took the time to look through all the builds. Most are x/x/30/30/x, besides the med which is 0/10/30/0/30.

Also most are pure celestial gear which is not advised. You can get better stats mixing. From a WvW standpoint, there’s nothing really wrong with it. However you can do better. For PvE, I wouldn’t recommend it at all.

All i will say is Celestial gear will give you flexibility, and is more suited to hybrid builds. All this does is make your build well rounded, which is good, but compared to something like zerker gear and what not the damage falls a bit, or a clerics gear, and dodge roll healing.

Not the good players. Cele mixed in with other stuff in WvW, yes, but not full cele by any means. It’s garbage.

The worst part is how many people love it.

I think I commented on that video saying how it has under half the effective power and less support than a proper guardian build lol

He also said power is one of the worst stats compared to precision and critical damage when it is the best scaling, honestly he is a very bad player

I guess new PvE meta is not maximizing dps, and instead be able to tank mobs longer.

^Makes sense. The longer the fight goes on, the more damage overall you do.

I saw that video a while back but didn’t comment because, honestly, he sounds like he has issues. Everything is crazily overwhelming and exciting for him. Should be a sports commentator or something.

When Gandolf picks up a GS he has about 3x more EP and a build suited for PVE and not WvW. However dead zerkers do zero DPS and support so I guess you are right.

Pretty sure you have that backwards. Boon duration isn’t needed in PvE because the fights never last long enough to make use of it. In WvW you need it, because you never know when you’ll get to reapply.

Well boon duration is not ‘needed’ in pve but for some builds it can add a lot to them. In my opinion any form of boon duration on any guardian build is nice

I think the first major clue that this is supposed to be satire was referencing attack instead of power.

2.5k un-buffed attack and altruistic healing is good, that is just wrong. He is so bad it makes my upset. The way he emphasises his condition damage, at that point I lost all faith

He could say his opinion is that pigs have wings and fly, this does not equate to a fact.

I like reading forums like this. They make my laugh even more then watching drunk fails on youtube.

On a serious note. Although i don’t agree with some of his build choices, i still admire the fact that he has made it fairly well in youtube so far. The content he brings to youtube might not be labeled as “pro”, but his attitude and positivity make his videos up lifting and seemingly helpful, which i think contributes to the community just as much as “pro” content.

My only problem with this is that someone will take it seriously and throw away a lot of gold.

Why do people like to MAKE things their problem? This is not your problem. If someone looks at that video and thinks “OMG, best Guard build EVAR!”, then they deserve to lose their gold for not doing more research, asking, etc …
