Im very curious to see your Firebrand builds for PvP/WvW …. I really wanna play a Burning Firebrand in WvW with some support capabilities but Im kinda lost on theorycrafting for Guardian, since I haven’t played it in a while
Would love to see some idea thrown here

I will not trait tomes at all if they are kept as they were in beta, that you couldnt swap between them.

If the mantras are kept as in in beta i will remove a couple of them and add in shouts instead since they are bad support tools in the current iteration.

One build I’ve pondered for group combat is combining traits that proc of Aegis with the Aegis output that Firebrand can put out with Legendary Lore. Could potentially prevent a lot of damage while dishing some back out while you’ve got ToC out, with enough other sources of Aegis that you’re still getting the benefits of those traits in between.

Possibly less gimicky… take the various skills and traits that outside the tome that you would use to get lots of Aegis and combine with Stalwart Speed for Quickness.

For burning, there’s the potential to use Radiance for quick recharge of ToJ.

If they buff mantras by giving them swiftness or something I might change runes which are saddly mandiatory for this class.

Tank/Healer build for Raids/Fractals, it’s probably going to be horrible.

I take Radiance only to share Wrath of Justice to my allies, which is nice if your group is oriented towards condition damage. Also Feel My Wrath! might not be necessary as I already have plenty of quickness access with aegis and Stand Your Ground!, Renewed Focus might be better or Mantra of Liberation if you’re against heavy CCs, Signet of Courage might be nice, if it wasn’t healing passively every 10 seconds, but every 3 seconds instead (with a decreased healing), it’d be even better.

Only build that gives you enough sustain and enough burst burns with F1. We’ll just have to see the changes (if any) they make following the September 22nd release but, this is what i’ll be running.

Still wont trait tomes but will go for some more damage with ashes and judges intervention and purging flames.

Not sure with the elite and heal but will start with the mantras.

This is my potentially overzealously supportive build. I am a lover of healing and supportive builds, so I like to go balls-deep with this sort of thing even if it’s potentially impractical. Perma regen, quickness, protection, a kittenton of aegis, perma 17 stacks of might (w/o alacrity), a ton of stability, and pretty solid healing as well. Some traits and skills could be changed accordingly, but this is the general idea of what I’d like to go for.

Currently thinking this as a PvE DPS build. Unsure about a second weapon or not. Basically the plan is to proc quickfire every 10 seconds using the added aegis and then using the shattered aegis trait for damage from it.

I’m currently deciding on if I want the crit from righteous instincts instead. If I did that I would likely switch to wrathful spirit and/ or healer’s retribution.

If quickfire doesn’t proc on the user then I will change to lore master and swap to virtures for permeating wrath and unscathed contender.
