Zealot's Defense Should "Block"
It would then proc the several block -dependent traits and would require a bit more fixing. I think the whole skill should be changed somehow to be a bit more viable in pvp since it’s only useful when u can pin some1 down with hammer or scepter.

It should just be a 1 possibly 1 & 1/2 second block that blocks all attacks.
It would also be nice if the projectiles were faster on it.
It would also be nice if the sword auto #3 were a real tripple hit melee attack with some cleave. As is it’s considered a ranged attack (can be reflected) & does not have projectile finisher chance.
Also it would be nice if the mace block were not the only melee block in game which can be triggered & ended by ranged attacks.
I want this feature, but I can imagine that it would be hard to debug with might of the protector.
projectile destruction simply isnt the same thing as blocking in this game
Yea, the Sword kinda just “slices” the projectiles. The Guardian doesn’t hold the swords in crisscross to “block” anything. As much as I want more block with my blocks, I don’t see this skill having blocks.

This particular issue has actually been bought up a number of times, and not just for Zealot’s defense, but also for shield of absorption as well. It does seem kinda silly for the guardian to have traits that work on block, but then have half the skills available to them that could be blocks, be absorption skills instead.
The problem is, despite the various degrees of attention this topic has been given on the forums over the years, ANet has displayed no interest in changing these skills at all, so I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were you. They appear to be “working as intended”.
