Is it a bug or is specifically designed that when you activate Zealots Flame “Set yourself alight, Periodically burning up to 3 foes” doesn’t activate the trait Inner Fire “When you are set of fire, You gain Fury” ?

Seems like a huge flaw in my opinion. I don’t really see much use for a trait that only activates on the “chance” that an enemy sets you on fire and not when you trigger it by yourself.

I’d like to hear something officially on this since I would like zealots flame to trigger it as it is somewhat important to my build.

Thanks

I always took that trait as whenever someone burns you. Zealots Flame is just wording to connect the ideas of you being “on fire” to people being set on fire around you. Unless the skill actually puts burn on yourself, I don’t think it should activate.

I don’t see that trait as particularly useful unless you KNOW you’re going to be burning a lot. Also, the skill itself doesn’t last long enough IMO, needs to be something like 5-7 seconds. 5 seems right.

Burning is one of the most common conditions in the game to be inflicted with. If you know you are going into an area that will use this condition against you often, then you would be wise to adjust your traits accordingly.

I consider this an advanced trait. Mainly becuase you need to already know the content you are going into before you use it. I do however agree that the wording in the tooltip for Zealot’s Flame does make it sound like it would grant the effect from the trait Inner Fire … but alas, it does not.
