Guild Wars 2

Hi I started playing the game about 2 weeks back and I wanted to play a Guardian from the start as I play paladin’s/clerics in other games but I have a thing about playing classes that every 1 plays so I did not make 1 up and because some people I know says that every 1 has/plays a Guardian. Dose this bother any 1 or is it just me being silly. If some 1 could change my main I will be very thankful

Everyone has 5 or more toon-slots available, so it’s pretty possible, that there is a Guardian in one of them, but not necessarily and if yes not played necessarily. And even if you see a lot of Guardians running around, it’s very possible that they have different trait-builds. If you like to play a Guardian, do so. If not, try another profession.

i went to Queensdale yesterday and there was alot of players doing guardians and thiefs was like the game were about those 2 classes.

Funny i would guess if a player thinks as guardians the healing class he his gona get really desapointed.

it’s a healing class lol.

A lot of people play Guardian because it’s easy and fun. So IMO, you’re just being silly. If you have fun with it, why should you care about everyone else? At least you can still be one of the better guardians.

Care to explain why? Does it get two-shot like your 30k-HP guardian? I’m sure this isn’t one of your toxic discouragements to new guardians, right?

if you say you are seeing alot of guardians in queensdale – i would expect that from the key runners, but thieves are a suprize to me.
my main is a guardian, but I also play and ele, mesmer & engi also.
my advice is – if you want to play a guardian then do so, but don’t expect it to be a paladin/cleric class, because it is not. The guardian is more about party mitigation than healing, and imo the ele is more of a cleric class then the guardian.
Also, you could start in a different area other then queensdale (human) – there are 4 other races and each has their own starting area.
Heck – i did a pug the other day in a dungeon and ended up with 5 mesmers. So eventully no matter what class you choose to play you will end up seeing a lot of one profession in an area at some point.

Oh its you !

My damage problem taken is mostly solved.(was more like a learn to adapt situation.)
Im by far a discouragement for new guardians i always help fellow guard on my server when i can and give some tips.
what i dont like to see is guardians think their main stat is healing power, becouse how class is designed looks like a cleric, while a dps helps more with blinds spam than a cleric with heals while other classes do the same more efectivelly.
