Guild Wars 2

I’ve (more or less) got all my gear in terms of stats. It’s now time to transmute them to the skins I want. I’m going for the stereotypical “paladin” look that will be anchored by the human T3 breastplate.

I’m looking for clean and polished, so anything dark, rusty, spiky, or tribal looking is out. Because I’m a lowly pauper, Legendaries, too, are out (though I’d kill to get my hands on the Flameseeker Prophecies). With those guidelines in mind, what are your best suggestions for a mace, shield, and helmet?

Yeah, I’ve gone through that (and the mace) gallery many times. It’s hard to pick a shield skin before I get my armor skins in place and finalize my color scheme.

White armor with gold trim, a nod to GW’s Paragon, would obviously look great with a Shield of the Wing. If I go with a silver armor and a blue tabard then perhaps Kryta’s Embrace would be the way to go. If I go with gold armor and a red tabard then I’ll probably go with the Lionguard Shield.

As for maces, I’m not happy with any of them. The ones that look special don’t fit the “paladin” look I’m looking for, and the ones that fit the “paladin” look I want are all really generic. I’m not looking for a “look at me” weapon, but I would like something a little less bland than the common maces I’ve been salvaging since I left Shaemoor.

Go with guild shields skin its just 20s no need for transmutation stones and looks awesome. Also Ebon Vanguard mace is quite awesome and only 9,8k karma for it.

I’ve considered that one. I do like the white glow, but I’m not especially crazy about the dark colored metal. It’s a petty thing to nitpick, but when we’re talking about the way my character is going to look from now until the end of time (or at least until Santa Clause brings me The Moot), it’s got to be perfect.

The new guild shield(from commendations + gold) is pretty slick, as well the new 8bit super shield is pretty cool(who knows if we can keep those items though).

As for a mace, the skin you can get from GW1 rewards is pretty slick and fits well with a gold look.

It’s a bit “brutish” for the look I’m going for. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

In addition to mace and shield suggestions, I’m also looking for a good barbute. Anyone have a favorite helm in this fashion?

Maces are tricky – they don’t appear to have received much design love ( and are often skipped when it comes to the new weapon sets ).

I’m running with this one atm: [&AgF+ZQAA] Scorchrazor’s Fist ( or legionnaire’s skin ) – which is ok if you’re not after anything flashy.

Or if you want a bit of glow then the [&AgENegAA] Glyphic Mace ( I suspect that won’t suit the look you’re after though )

I found a mace I’d love to use. And then I realized I was looking at a Sereaph Scepter.
