Guild Wars 2

My main is a guardian and I’m putting some effort into 100% world completion. I have staff, but I’d like to keep my speed buffed as much as possible to save time. Are there good consumables/sigls/?/etc out there for this?

I’m still kind of noobish about the various stuff that’s available.

Try the omnomberry chocolate giving +40% boons duration.
Retreat + Save Yourself + shouts -20% + 20/30pts in Virtue.

You can also use runes of water/monk/pack (for +20% swiftness) for 100% SF uptime.

Without the runes just hand a staff to fill the few secs without swiftness.

Staff + Retreat + Save yourselves.

Then slap on some boon duration and you’ll be good.

Omnom chocolate gives 20% not 40%

I have 30 in Virtues – 30% boon duration
Chocolate omnom cream – 20%
2 major/superior rune of water & 2 superior rune of the monk – 40%

Gives me 90% boon duration. Which I believe is 38 seconds of swiftness with Retreat. Extra 19 seconds with Save Yourselves. Plus I use II in Honor for shouts to recharge 20% faster. Combine that with the staff and you’re set =)

I use a Staff and Runes of the Pack for 20% Swiftness, no points in Virtue, and reduced 2H cooldowns, that’s about 9.5~10 sec Swiftness every 12 seconds, when it ends I switch to Greatsword, Leap of Faith, switch back, wait 0.5 seconds and Swiftness again.

This has served me pretty well for World Completion.

That’s 10 secs of swiftness (and fury) every 20 seconds – and use SYS and/or Retreat in between.

It’s useful if you don’t want to be pigeon-holed into carrying a staff all the time ( you can just drop the pack and enter combat with your favourite weapon instantly )

I used to find these consumables handy in WvW too, but unfortunately they stopped them from working in the last patch.

You can pretty much maintain 100% swiftness with those mentioned above.
