something I’ve wondered for a while is the wording and function of something of the aegis traits.

for example:
pure of heart, aegis heals on removal.
does this proc when aegis goes off and blocks an attack? or does it only proc if an enemy directly removes it with a boon removing/stealing ability?

wrathful spirit, aegis gives retaliation when it ends

same question. what is considered aegis “ending” is it when it blocks an attack, or when its stripped off you? or does it only proc when the timer runs out and the ability drops off on its own?

there’s several traits like this in the guardian tree that I’ve just avoided trying because the description isn’t very clear.

You are right, its not very clear. All of them activate when aegis blocks an attack.

Pure of Heart is a terrible trait as most of the times Aegis is removed you are at 100% hp, so it does no healing.

But we have many terrible traits so that’s nothing new really.
Only 4 of our Grandmaster traits are worth going for and 3 are in Honour and Valour. Hence the majority x x 30 30 x builds.

All of the Aegis traits are pretty terrible. Supposedly a couple might be changed for the December 10 update, so that may not be the case forever.

Or, Anet being Anet, a well-meaning “improvement” could be a disaster, who knows. :P
