Guild Wars 2

Okay so I decided to go with guardian ankitten ow onto gearing up I know in time I’ll have several sets for certain . but as for right now I only have the funds and materials to make one set.
I have 2 ascended clerics trinkets ( amulet and a ring) for my 6 main gear peices I was thinking of crafting marauders. I’ve leveled my armor smithing to 400 recently to do this.

my question is would a marauders set be a good choice for a setup for someone that wants to get a taste of all the game modes maybe switch weapons if I end up in a zerg or dungeons and such?

Yes. marauder armour is pretty much what most wear. just slot some marauder or zerker trinkets and ur good to go. Zerk weapons. try to ai for 15k health minimal with travelers runes.

I know for wvw my guild wants me to use a different set I forgot the name I think it was crusaders. with staff and hammer.

but I will build that set later was thinking Cele trinkets would be a good choice for an all around option

Celestial offers little, especially when compared to the 4-stat items from HoT. Just go for marauder if you want to use it both in dungeons/fractals and WvW. Anything more defensive is useless in instanced PvE content.

I’m unaware what those hot items are you spoke of. I played 2 years ago and only leveled to 80 and stopped started playing again and trying to get into things

Stat combinations like marauder, commander, viper, etc.

In the LS3 areas (at least Bloodstone Fen and Ember Bay, haven’t bothered to check in the icy stuff), you can also buy rings, accessories, amulets and backpacks with selectable stat combos including the HoT ones.
