guardian 1v1 build?
For solo WvW, 1v1s, etc. decent toughness, good crit, really high power, max crit dmg, and perma vigor. The key is to always start out with Sce/F. Use the shield on focus not to block, but for huge burst. Wait a split second until it explodes, then use Sce 3 and Judges Intervention. from there Sce 2. After that either autoattack with Sce or swap to Sw and teleport and auto away. If you use T #4 twice thats also a really big range nuke. On YouTube, if you search Got Boons, he runs an almost exact similar build to mine, except less survivability. When you look at the link i gave, it doesn’t put in Right Hand Strength, so the crit chance is actually 51%. On the 15 its getting a buff. Grab Focused Mind so
meditations will give fury.
I will say this though. Other burst builds have it a lot easier. Mostly thief and warrior. If you really wanna get big numbers, roll those two. That being said, the shield on focus brings them to ~40% when it explodes. NEVER unless your buying time to get away, use it for just the blocks. The damage is too good to waste it

It prob could use some tweaking but I did rather well with it last night.
I ran with GS / S/T but you could change out the Sword and torch if you wanted to but I liked the sword cause of the teleport, combined with the GS leap and judges intervention help with the lack of swiftness from retreat or staff. and the Torch if aimed right gives a nice AOE burn that builds up well but could replace with focus if you need to be more support. What I would do it open with torch 5 then 4 or visa verse, then I would drop purging flames, Symbol of wrath then do leap so I would get the retaliation and the flame shield casting Judges int or smite con if needed or need some heals.
I found I could take quite a few hits and do well one on one and even hold out 2v1 often watching the others run away at half health while I was still almost full.
I run a 0/5/30/30/5 hybrid stat build for wvw, it still brings good team support and can win a hand full of 1vx scenario’s, what it wont do is beat a condi mesmer, a mace/shield – greatsword warrior, or a well played condi engi, for those you would need a high damage output build.

Ooph… 1v1 Guardian builds go into a fight with both hands tied behind their back. Any similarly skilled player in a 1v1 designed class is going to go through you like White Castle with Tequila chasers.
The class is just amazing with 2+ other players. Sure 1v1 can be done, but should it? That said as someone pointed out the torch is a surprisingly good weapon 1v1 and scepter is probably the most damaging.

I am having good results with a hybrid med based build which also has points into honor for 2h mastery and increased symbol size.
Weapons are hammer and GS which when chained together give good results.
I am experimenting with a hybrid boon duration build 10/0/0/30/30. It can be deceptively damaging due to its 3 dmg modifiers that can be used in conjunction to GS burst for great results.
0/30/30/5/5 running beserker and 1h weapons. Can do well vs most other builds. Can beat bad players easily and hold your own vs decent players/builds.

1v2+ is almost impossible since the CD rely on bursting your single target and leaves you open against the other. The tradeoff is instantly capping camps which is what you want to do, get in and get out before the swords appear.
0/0/30/20/20 PVT armor, trinkets valk, and zerk wpns Hammer and GS. Food with +precision

If u wanna go with zerg just swith Hammer to Staff and one med with SYG+ make it CD -20%.
It’s honestly the best I’ve ever played.
This is not a serious build but I would suggest looking at a Spirit Weapon Build. Heh, just hear me out. Running a 30 30 0 0 10 build-Spirit Weapon traits and burning removes boons+spirit weapons apply burning. That last 10 points in the precision line isn’t mandatory but its kinda good to get 1 handed crit chance one. The armor and weapons are zerker Greatsword/Hammer and Mace/Sword Focus (the /‘s are alternatives). Now keep in mind this build is really squishy but heres how it basically works: Spirit Weapons dmg is above average with the correct traitline, so combine that with your zerker dmg you will hit like a truck. The precision trait line allows your spirit weapons to remove boons so if you get the sigil you can effectively remove 5 boons instantly which is meant to strip your opponent (most importantly of stability). Then the Hammer spirit proceeds to pound your opponent into the ground with the activation skill, and then follows up with a knockback. Most opponents would waste stun breakers and such at this point which then you follow up with your own cc. Hammer works better but greatsword is just as viable while the mace/sword focus provides some sustain. Using the Shield spirit you will make all projectile based weapons class useless for its nearly constant uptime plus it can also secure stomps. The sword spirit will just be for basic dps and is would be one utility that could be switched out if necessary. The Idea is that you initiate a fight with massive boon strip, then proceed to cc down your target all the while using full zerker dps. Some counters are constant stealth classes which will be hard to fight against and Necro’s Plague Form. Again, this is just a trolly build but it can be used very effectively against 1v1’s. (You only have 30 seconds to kill your opponent so don’t miss XD)

My necro has never lost from any guardian in small fights. I think this is one of the weakest issue about guardians, not very good in 1-1.
