If you want to make a healer for wvw make a engi or elementalist for the waterfield blasting spam, if you insistfor a bunker guardian see it more like a protection monk with minor party regen(this is if u know monks from gw1)

I forgot to write that I was looking for PVE build
for PVE you really dont want to be tank/healer guardian. Most people are zerker dps with support utilities. Go with Knights gear if you are feeling too squishy.
Ya you don’t want to be try to be tank in this game. The community tried that during the first months of the game with an Anchor build, it doesn’t work. You can’t keep the aggro, you can’t stay alive in hard situation, you won’t buff your team more, you will lose most of the best defensive support the guardian can bring and you lacking dps will drag fight longer making your team’s life harder.
I would suggest mace / Focus with cleric or soilder gear and support skill. With Virtue + Battle presence, Writ of the merciful + Mace Symbol, Hold the line (Shout) and Mace 1 chain skill, u can have almost perma regen + passive heal from symbol and trait which heal around 1200 hp/sec. I have ran this build solo champion in mount of meal storm. (consuming my time a lot)
Anyway, the meta Guardian is DPS medi guardian if u want, get zerker gear and play medi too since GW2 is rerolable in a min.
PS. I have seen Thaddeus say something like this for many time, I am not against the meta build ,but , since GW2 provide us to reroll our char anytime we want, why don’t we play what we want and run berserker when we have to.

I kinda agree with what Thaddeus said, bunker guardians lost their place even on pvp, on wvw u find hammer prot boon “bots” and “waterfiels splashers” , the defensive role have been disabled over time, enforcing everyone to role more DPS centric builds, has meditations, and never fixed the defensive guardian or never cared to becouse that would lead in more class rework.
Defenitly game was never ment to play what you want, becouse the play how you want only work on pve, and even there theres a limit of it.

Tanks and healers typically work well in PvE, but if you wanna heal your allies a bit in PvE, Healing Breeze is a good place to start. Tome of Courage, and/or Zealot gear are also okay.
As for PvP, you’ve already been introduced to the tanky AH build. Healer builds in PvP are less common, but from my experiences they work just fine.

Guardian w/o making damage on wvw with 13k hp? thats a 2 seconds fight, full cleric gear is a bad move on WVW guardian.
Also sanctuary is mostly useless since there can be a 100% stability and speed uptime, sanctuary wont make a diference.

There are some things I would change in that build for WvW. I mostly made that in mind for PvP (as I implied, and as was shown the build I linked), but you can keep criticizing it as a WvW zerg build if you want. :0
