I typically run sword focus, or sword torch. I was curious what would be best for healing if needed. In combat.

Mace shield
Or greatsword with the zealous blade trait to heal 5% dmg dealt?

For what game mode?

full supportive I would go staff & mace/shield with healway build. Either nomad’s or cleric

PvP Meditation build, great Dps and lots of heals (i think almost 2k per meditation w/o healing power) On top of that most of them do damage or have condi cleanse (really good for PvP)

Meditations work in PvE to my understanding as well since the damage ones are all AoE but i play mostly PvP soo

Nah, meditations aren’t a pve thing, it’s selfish. At least not in group pve.

Sorry, simply open world pve, and world bosses.

Best in combat healing would be spamming regen (focus 4, mainly) with absolute resolution (4 in virtues, also gives you condi removal) and the Zealous blade trait, provided you’re already in berserker/ assassin and you’re doing crittable open world bosses. That should be already enough to maintain your life above 90%, along with life steal on crit food.

Just go symbol build, protection spam is just as good.

IDk about that.

I have messed around with a mix of zerker, celestial, and zealot’s and found I could manage 1k dodge heals while maintaining decent damage.

That plus AEGIS heals, communal defenses, regeneration & battle presence and we can pump out a ton of healing.

Really though, why would you want to be a healer for PVE? beyond providing a little bit for when people make a mistake or to help cover incidental unavoidable damage there is no need.

Healers in this game are people learning the game and taking selfish stats to survive, usually. There’s nothing wrong with that if you’re not comfortable with berserker/assassin still.

Healing power is the least selfish defensive stat in the game. Just because it isn’t very effective in a lot of PvE content doesn’t make it selfish.

In pve it is. PvP is another story.
