hows the mace for gurd/dh
Tank, only works in pve, outside pve other classes have more surviability, but yes mace is really nice, if u like it, low damage, slow hit and movement based, with some minor heal and 2 good blocks.
Issue is the symbol cast time.

If you like blocks mace is a great weapon to build around. Since the advent of Sword and Scepter’s symbols though, its previous spot of quick recharge 1H symbol isn’t nearly as necessary.
For heals or tank, well you said tank so, hammer imo. Mace w/ what is it Invigorated Bulwurk is great more heals but still slow. I mean if u block and add shield or focus yeah it is nice to tank with but again, that’s some PvE, there are better tanks sadly if you love tanking that is for fractals and Raids. You’re better off with more focus on heals and just DPS support.

Mace is great for hard hitting bosses, you can run aegis rotations using the mace block, and you get some healing out of it. Pairing it with Shield which is another aegis and heal, it’s just very good. There’s of course something to be said for hammer support, but sometimes protection < 2 extra short cooldown aegis applications.

This is not true, mace’s symbol is just as spammable, and provides regen. Then you have the extra healing power from the trait, the block + aegis, and the healing on auto.

healing on auto is a bit slow, it is needed an AH build based build, and mace simbol is slow to cast, a player need to keep finger for 1 second and half on key for mace symbol be casted, if u just presse the key symbol will not be casted or animation will stop and symbol is not casted.
So overall a build with AH and heal on symbols(specter + sword combo) migh be easy to get those small triggers from AH, mor often.
Altough, if u have aegis traited to heal (mace 3)that is another story, it is a 1k heal aoe.
Still, a group of mace guards with a good 500-600 on healing stats can get the mace 3 to heal arround 600-1k (with active blocks increasing healing stat).
Arround 1.2k was the max i healed with mace 3.
@BadSanta.6527, mace for DH imo is a very good combination, i run mace/shield, i even run the build with one spririt weapon SoA to neutralize the LB+pet+root combo from druids.
