Hammer and Sword Spirit Weapons are useful in PvP or WvW. Shield and Bow are useful in dungeons.
The most importantly, opponents cannot target them. I normally target an opponent then my Hammer or Sword will chase them no matter where they go. Haha.
Completely agree…got ele to 80, got tired of dying trying to kill one single mob in Orr.
Made a guardian and a warrior, got them both to 5, decided to stick with the guardian, it’s now 56 and I LOVE IT.
Look at me, I can actually kill stuff now!

The most fun? Hmm.
That’s pretty subjective, but…on the other hand…
If you use a Hammer, you can launch bears.
I have to agree, I was torn between Ele and Guardian at the start but went with Ele. I was in the same predicament at 80 so I rerolled to Guardian and now I regret not taking it from the start. They have much more to offer to a team and being so hard to take down means more fun for me (Who actually enjoys spending most their time being put down in 1-2 hits)
I wouldn’t say it has warrior damage but it is a good class.
so the spirit weapon build is viable for dungoen right?
If you want to survive and push and lead the mob like i do sometimes and mostly support your zerg or your allys , i use Greatsword and scepter and shield mostly im full conditions damage with melandru runes and potion and food with like less condition duration. I kill like hell and i support my teams of who i see is dead or tryign to res.
Depends of your wish mostly.

Sure. Spirit Weapons work fine in Dungeons. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes.

sarcasm? >_>
10/15/0/0/5 if you do a lot of solo leveling. After that, your build can evolve into whatever you want til 80 (such as dropping 30 points into Valor for meditations, Zeal for spirit weapons, etc…).
I play spike damage offensive meditation (10/25/30/0/5) at 80. It relies on “active” defense (meditations to keep yourself up) so you have to be on your toes with cool downs, stun breaker, and dodging. However, if you play well enough, your survivability is pretty up there for a full on damage build. So, if you like to see big numbers, I’d recommend it:

Definitely not sarcasm.
Currently going with a build that utilizes spirit weapons, burning and virtues (offensive build with added support, I don’t like to confine myself to one role) and I’m having a lot of fun and despite no defensive traits I’m quite survivable. Loving the guardian.
I’ve played guard in all betas and lvled a guard to 80 once the game was out. They are by far my favorite class.
If you build a guard for damage they can do really high damage, classes like the warrior might do it better, but they have to go full glass cannon to achieve it. Where as if you were a guard and went all dps, you can still outlive the warrior. Gotta play smart.
For support, guard I would say is best at this. If you build for support your team will do better, if you build for damage mobs or enemy teams will take more damage depending on if you and the rest of your team are alive to do it.
This makes guards more in demand then other classes, but mainly for support.
Do what I did, gather two sets of armor and jewelry. One for dps and the other for support. Mix and match which sets appeal to your play style and for what your about to do.
Zeal for your sustained damage
Radiance for your burst
Valor to make you tough
Honor to keep you up
And virtues as a bonus

bahahaha….love the hammer launch but never heard it described that way. now i love it more!!
