I always prefer ranges combat to melle, but I love the support guard gives, with the new dragon hunter spec coming out, so you think this will allow for a better ranges build? And I’m looking for strictly pve

Um … off the cuff, this is what I would use with a Scepter/LB but I don’t think it’s that spectacular.

I don’t find that for a PURE ranged build, DH is actually that good. You have to knockback to get access to the the 10% multiplier from Dh2 AND take DH6 and 8. DH9 is nicer for PVE damage but then their isn’t much in the Adept and Master to take that seems useful. It’s not pretty.

It’s definitely easier to maintain Aegis for UC though which might make it worth the effort.

Unless a zealot amulet is added to PvP, I don’t think staffbow guardians would be much of a thing. Even then, simply speccing into DH contradictorily takes away a guardian’s innate ranged support (virtues). As such, I think scepter/longbow guardians are a more likely thing.
I don’t really see why a support guardian (the only guardians that would want to use staffs) would spec into DH anyway.

The only meh reasons I can think of is a second ranged symbol that they can use from the backlines along with writ of persistence and vulnerability spike through big game hunter.

I considered staff but it won’t work well with Pure of Sight.
