Just curious if the soldier runes bonus of removing a condition is only for me or for any player that is affected by my shout? If this works for other players as well I would think that pure of voice would not be as beneficial.

All allies affected by the shout will lose a condition. It’s essentially the same as having Pure of Voice. With both the runes and PoV, allies will lose 2 conditions.

Thanks, now the question would be if an ally has only 1 condition does the rune remove their condition first or will pure of voice give them a boon first?

This was a bit bugged afaik so im not 100% certain if they fixed everything with it..

Here is how we perceived it during BWE and on tests after launch.

1. You pull the shout
2. Pure of Voice is dominant and convert one condition
3. Rune of the soldier kicks in and removes the second condition

If the shout is Save Yourself the effect of the shout (transfer all conditions to you) kicks in as 4.

Would like to add a disclaimer here, its a couple of months since i tested this (SY) so there might have been some sort of ninja tweak. Think it was in the end of february they fixed it and i tested it.

This means if you have both PoV and rune of the soldier you will purge your entire party from up to three conditions.

It might be overkill but its powerful.

They did fix PoV a few patches ago, but I haven’t used it since well before then. I just read on the wiki that SY removes a condition before PoV converts one. Not sure how the runes will work with it though.

SY at least convert conditions on you, not sure about the team. If you get at condition on you SY+PoV convert it.

One of the issues, if i remember correct the mechanic for conversion, didnt work properly.

If i remember correct chills for instance was converted to vigor.

SY dont convert condition you have drawn from a teammate to you. Hence why i wrote that SY kicks in as 4.

If a teammate has 3 conditions:
1 is removed by rune of the soldier
1 is converted by Pure of Voice
1 is transfered to the guardian by SY.

At least that is how i remember it.

Yep, that’s right. That’s how it’s supposed to work.

So PoV DOES kick in before Soldier runes so that the players get a boon? I was worried because it felt like I’d use my shouts and the conditions would cleanse but the only boons were the ones the shout placed on them.

What happens when one of the converted boons is one of the boons granted by the shout? Does the affect stack?

It was three months i tested this so i might remember incorrect but yes PoV is dominant over runes. Class skills/traits kick in before runes/sigils.

The effect stack, the easiset way to check this out is to go to a mob that gives you a condition and pull SY. You will receive all boons from the shout but one will last a bit longer, that is the converted boon.

If im not mistaken there was some sort of bug/hick up with a couple shouts, that they actually didnt kick in in the same order and didnt convert the condition. I know for sure that the conversion is bugged and isnt following the table in the wiki.

In short some shouts work as intended and in the “right” order and some seems to work in a different order but i might wrong, it was a while a go.
