That’s not a big change for us. We still can burstkill down a thief that come close to use.
There’s some thief builds that make them good against us but still we have a lot of block/blind skills that make them cry and a very high dps.
I think there’s a really small chance (around 0.001%) it was because of what you posted as these changes have to be tested and undergo a much more complex process than satisfying requests posted on forums. This was a thing being asked a long time ago by the Thief community. I don’t think that it will make the class stronger against Guardians because seasoned players know that you must block/Invul while the initial burst and then immbilize for an easy kill.
Still, PvP is a matter of skill and context (other players, recent fights, location, sigils procs etc.). I’m happy for you and hope you can take advantage of this.
The two benefits I can see from this is that a thief no longer has to worry about panick dropping their stolen item when they need the steal ability (disengaging, chasing, etc), and they now always have their cooldown listed rather than having to keep track of the cooldown that was hidden behind the stolen item.
Overall, nothing game-changing, but it will make things easier on lesser seasoned thieves. The average Guard will still hard counter the average thief; the F2 change won’t affect that.

I agree but getting a near 8 sec daze i find it abit way too much and im not a fan of mesmers getting from them a dam 20 sec all bons Are they really serious about this ?

I want ANET to give us a fourth virtue that increases mobility by 15% and has an active that grants swiftness if they’re talking base profession changes.
I really don’t see what all the concern is about (unless a sarcasm font is lacking somewhere). A seasoned thief is already keeping track of his steal cooldown. The new F1/2 setup simply adds a visual and skips the extra step of manually having to discard an unwanted item.

I think all of you are missing the point.
They can now daze you from range!
Steal → then once steal finish CD → activate F2 daze → while its casting, quickly activate steal to teleport to you and daze you
they don’t need to be near you now to activate daze
and if they time it right, they got a 2nd daze in their F2 to use again.
can you imagine a blink daze on you now?

For goodness sake it isn’t even in game yet and we have no idea if you could combo it to begin with before we talk about nerfing it.

you dont even need infil signet for it…
steal → wait 21 sec → f1 → f1
with the change it will be
steal → wait 21 sec → f2 → f1
eremite stop with these posts please… like in every single prof forum there is a thread from you complaining how this will make thief riddicolous op when in fact all it changes is that we can now see the cooldown of our steal while we carry a bundle…
