14/12 patch notes for Mesmer
Doesn’t make sense to me.
It will if you read first line in my post once again
- Phantasmal Warlock and Phantasmal Mage now properly run away from melee and maintain distance of 1.200 from their target at all time.
- Increased range of Phantasmal Warlock and Phantasmal Mage to 600Doesn’t make sense to me.
With AoE from staff removed, GS seems to be the only legit AoE weapon atm.
Never was into Sword+F/T/P but may be now it time for scepter to replace the sword from the standard weapon choice.
None is said about iBerserker sad…

-Fixed a bug that was letting Mind Wrack deal 2x more damage than it should have
-Upon closer inspection, Phantasm attack delay was set too low; Adjusted to 30s for balance purposes.
-Illusionary Persona now kills you upon shatter, so as to more accurately mimic your clones.
And, last but not least
-Prestige damage reduced by 50%, as the previous 100% damage bonus was determined to make Torch OP.
-Portal was only initially intended to be used by the casting mesmer. This bug was fixed.
-Fixed a bug preventing Mesmers from spawning more than 3 illusions.
-Blurred Frenzy replaced with Thousand Blades

They should actually make the cooldown 60s again but make it only work for the mesmer himself and four other players, seriously.

Actually, this would be very useful in tPvP, seriously. Nobody else, except you and players from your team, would be able to use portal.

I had thought about :
- Fixed a bug that allowed mesmer to go to down state when HP hit 0 instead of dying immediately
-Illusionary Leap: Fixed an exploit that allowed mesmers to have a chance to catch up to other players. This skill has been renamed Illusionary walk and no longer causes cripple. Walk delay at 2s.
-Mirror Blade: All bounces are now properly affected by line of sight.
-fixed an exploit that allowed illusion “deaths” to be triggered upon override and death of target. This skill now properly reflects death as resulting from damage inflicted deaths only.
-fixed a bug that improperly gave a player’s name to each clone. Henceforth, all illusions shall be designated “Illusion 1,” “Illusion 2,” or “Illusion 3,” depending on cast order.

Thief Update:
Mesmer are deleted. Your Mesmer is now turned into a level 1 Charr-Thief.

Your class is deletet. You get a level 1 Charr-Thief instead.

You don’t get you level 1 Charr-Thief and lose all Money, Gold, Gems and everything you got as a Mesmer.

You know I read the subject without actually clicking on the topic and immediately went to see what the update notes were for mes and other professions first. >.< d’oh
Funny read though.
-Phase retreat now ports you in a random direction as intended.
-Removed exploit where iWarlock could do massive damage on targets with a lot of conditions, extra damage has been capped to 3 conditions.
-Phantasmal disenchanter now has his damage removed and curing condition has a 50% chance.
-Removed a typo from ‘mirror images’, it now reads ‘mirror image’ and only spawns one clone.
-Phantasmal defender hp reduced by 50%
-Illusion of life now also kills downed enemies, but they are revived after 15s if they have no conditions on them.
-Phantasmal warden now spins in the opposite direction as intended.
Luna Solares – Mesmer
-Spatial Surge beam has had its color changed to green
-Phantasmal Rogue now has perma stealth, heartseeker and back stab.
-Portal now randomly teleports people to jumping puzzles
Ullrom – Mesmer
-phantasmal warden will now lay on down on the ground and start beating it with its fist.
-mind stab will now be renamed to mind fluck and randomly attack the ground. Causing you to go wtf…
-Deceptive Evasion has been adjusted to only trigger when your endurance is at 100% at the time of the roll. It now consumes the entire endurance meter in order to produce the clone.
-Critical Infusion trait has been altered to include that every non-critical hit will inflict 1 second of Weakness on the Mesmer.
-Mind stab now removes 2 boons, but has has half the radius and half the damage to compensate.
I honestly wouldn’t be that surprised if one these did in some way make it to the real patch notes
Luna Solares – Mesmer
-Staff skills 1 through 3 have had their cooldowns increased to 30, 35, and 40 seconds respectively in order to bring them in line and synergize better with Staff 4 and 5.
-Fixed a bug where staff clones inflicted conditions
-Null field no longer removes conditions
-Changed feedback to only work if attacking from outside the dome, for balancing purposes
-When mesmer is hit by CC all illusions are killed
Mesmer clones no longer shatter on target death.
Mesmer clones can be summoned out of combat.
Mesmer clones will now mimic the actions of the mesmer, including choice of target to attack and emote animations, such as /kneel, /sleep, and /dance.
I honestly wouldn’t be that surprised if one these did in some way make it to the real patch notes
Or better yet, not in the patch notes but in game regardless…
-Fixed a bug with Mirror Images that made it blatantly obvious who the real mesmer is. After using this skill, players are no longer able to change targets and can only use their auto-attack skill with damage identical to that of their clones and are only allowed to move towards the target, assuming they are out of range. The player will also despawn when the target dies.
-Damage done by clones has been increased by 50%. Damage done by the mesmer has been reduced by 50% to compensate.
-Fixed damage inconsistency with Phantasmal Berserker. Phantasmal Berserker will now always strike the target 4 times for 0 damage. Inflicted cripple has been replaced with swiftness to compensate.
