Alo Mes community.

Small introduction, I go by the handle Three Minutes. I mained a ranger for 2+ years in spvp and wvw. Loved the class no complaints.

That said, with all the tomes/scrolls I thought id try a mesmer for the 1st time. Where else can you play anything close to it?

Now that ive given this class a fair shake, im addicted… ADDICTED.

I love both the power builds and condi, as the core mechanics of the class are similar but enough to keep the flavours different enough to change it up.

Anyhow Im bouncing between MtD mesmer and Shatter. (tried a bit of ross’s phantarupt).

That all said, if you have tips/tricks or anything you learned feel free to tell me in game or in stream.

Keep posting your vids folks, I watch them all and try all the builds. Once im comfortable enough with this class i hope to join in with conversations here.

GS + Sw/D melee power ranger is actually my favourite “alt”, and the only other class build I truly enjoy besides mesmer.

Welcome to the Mesmer forums!! We are quite the passionate bunch here with various opinions. We can be whiny sometimes… but there’s an opportunity to learn from everyone. Don’t take our heated discussions too seriously.

I’m happy you’re enjoying power/condi shatter. Those two along with CI interrupt are the best we have. However, there’s A LOT of builds you can play at many tiers, making the Mesmer class the most flexible when it comes to builds. I implore you to explore everything we’ve got.

I’ve been out of town for a while on some business, so I haven’t been able to play, but I’ll be checking your stream out when I can. Feel free to whisper me in-game!

My only tip is to not to stick with one or two builds, mesmer has a lot of of small build variety and I think this is one of the beauties of this class.
For example, MtD includes 4/4/0/0/6, 0/6/0/2/6, 0/4/4/0/6, 0/4/2/2/6, 0/4/0/4/6…

I’d actually really like to read this guide and see your vids. I’ve never been much good with the focus outside of a zerg so this would be a great benefit.
