Air Vrs Centaur?
Hi, no air have shorter swiftness upptime. What you gain for this thu is in a high crit build is more crid dmg (who scale better with higher gear lvls) and a wery strong dmg spike in terms of lightning proc, hits for 3-6 k. The proc give a superb defense vs glascannons and especialy thiefs as it hit em before they visual.
I played with air sens september, with staff blink and air runes I have no problems keep track with my team. I use cat leap + swiftness to do sprints.

It hits for 3-6k after the 25% nerf? Dang.
Centaur rune gives 10sec swiftness with a 12sec CD, not 15, but Air one gives the lightning, and 6sec swiftness for 10sec CD
and I like crit damage more than power, but that’s personal :P
According to the wiki and my personal experience, Centaur has a 15s cooldown unless they changed this lately.
He is probably mixing up that with the 20% swiftness duration boost, Centaur is up 12 with a cooldown of 15, Air is up 6 with a cooldown of 10.
I’ve used both. Centaur w/the included 20% boost gives 12s of uptime w/15s cooldown. I used to use it w/the 15s heal and I would always have a that 3s overlap of normal speed. I then switched to Air runes which I use w/my normal heal. So I only get 6-7s of swiftness every 20 seconds. It’s a nice addition, but the real shine of the air runes is the lightning proc. That really helps in a pinch. Plus, I quite often run w/a focus mesmer, so I still get 12s of swiftness of his temporal curtain. It can get annoying w/either rune having to hit heal every 15-20s…
