Is it me or have they raised the volume or changed the sound effect in some way?

I never really noticed or heard it much before but now it’s actually a bit irritating – more than that I’m put off playing chrono. :/

I never noticed the ringing effect so much as yesterday, but the patch also reset my audio settings. Could that be the issue?

Hmm, I reduced the sound effects volume in the options menu so it’s a bit more bearable now, but I seriously think it’s a different sound effect than before.

Previously it was more a fast ticking, now there’s a low pitched hum with higher frequency ticking. It’s difficult to describe but I’m sure it has changed. Either that or I’m forgetting things! xD

yeah they did, it sucks but now I have to turn down my effects volume or else I get a major migraine.

If anyone at Anet happens to read this, the previous alacrity sound effect was easier on the ears. The new one is headache inducing such that I have to turn the sound effect volume down quite low in order to play chrono.
