Hello !

Simple mechanic question : as ambush skills are in the 1 slot, which is the auto-attack slot, do they automatically trigger, or should I hit 1 to have them occur ?

I’m 99,99% sure the answer is yes, only because I tried to see the ambush skill availability time in and out of fights ; the latter is significantly longer.

But I just want to make sure…

Of course you have ! My question is : when you hit dodge, do you need to hit 1 to proc the ambush, or is it automatically cast ?

I’m pretty sure you need to press 1 to make it happen. I wish they would extend the window though, as sometimes it fails to register.

Also I wish they would make ambush skills available from stealth, not just mirage cloak.

seems to auto cast for me. you can test it for yourself pretty easily

Yeah I’d have preferred it if we just kept Mirage Cloak as a unique way of dodging but make our ambushes trigger when stealthed like thief. And give Mirage an easier time to access short time stealth instead of Mirage Mirrors.

From what I noticed you pretty much have to stop what you’re doing and press 1. Which for many of them that have cast times means you have to also stop moving until it’s finished. Wasting your window, your damage, and being utterly pointless.

Some ambush skills force you to stand still. You have to stop moving and hit the 1 button if you were moving the moment were you pressed the dodge button.
The ambush skill is cast automatically if you didn’t move.
