I can’t believe they actually made Well of Precognition aegis. I really thought it was an early April fools joke to make us be relieved after they nerfed alacrity. Why didn’t they just remove the skill entirely? That’s basically what they just did. With his change they just basically said they don’t care about our feedback and will do w/e they want. When will they learn that if they split skills from pve/pvp less people will criticize them. I’m not even that mad about the alacrity change, but I am about the number they nerfed it by. EVERYONE agrees that 50% nerf was too much. Learn to do small increments anet. In fact just quit while your behind because your never going to get it right.

Anyways i’m glad i’m on FA. Can’t spell FA without F*** Anet.

You can always bet on one thing, if you ever see an official channel say that’s what’s going in, that is what is going in no matter how much good arguments, whining, etc. are brought again it. They never listen or change anything once it’s been announced.

I actually want to smack the kitten that gave them the idea for this change, I remember reading it on this board. Thanks for getting them to accept a very crappy Scepter change, and sell it to us as a boost to Scepter! lol! Fat lotta good that will do getting 1 extra Torment on the RARE occasion that you have 3 illusions up.

Well it looks like the last 6 months were extraordinary.

Now for the slow decline until the next Expansion/new overpowered Specialisation.

I’ve been a Mesmer main since half way into year 1. Ele was my first and still 2nd class now. Survived through all the nerfs/buffs, but now they finally got me to make my Ele my main again. Will have to find a 2nd class for pvp that I like to play now. If I pvp anymore. I’ll prob just create a condi war for raids now and only log on when my raid group gets together. When that starts to bore me I’ll just quit I guess.

If you mean extraordinary = not “way worse” than mesmer are used to in every role. Yes finally. But it still was a long road to balance.

Honestly 6 months ago only made mesmers less “way worse” when comparing to other classes. Like giving a lollipop to a kid thats crying cause didnt got his toy tele-car.
The only thing that got better than other was bunker mesmer due to its res capabilities. A role that was created due to other classes/meta push. A role that was surprisingly good. Way too good.
But slow/quickness/alacrity nerf wasnt enough.

I think the way to balance isnt actually bring all classes in different roles par with each other. But rather have really High highs and Loooow lows. There! the highs balance with lows.

Both ideas for the changes they have made came from the same ESL lapdog. I was against both as both just delete the skill. I guess they realized the first change was a fail and now trying this one, which is also fail.

As someone who doesn’t really play mes these days, what I want to know is this:

Does well of precog still prevent capture point progress? If so this is a kittened change. Otherwise, I think this was needed, or something like it. I really hope they look into your sustained damage though, all these nerfs, but they didn’t help mesmer where it is weak.

No. The prevention was an artifact of the distortion it was giving. In theory they could have had the well itself prevent capture, but instead they changed the effect from blur to distortion in December. Blur does not prevent capture, distortion does.

Block does not (aegis especially not), so the Well does not.

Making it aegis instead of block is the worst of all worlds, though.
