Anet...Give it back to us !!!
Crippling maybe, buff Mistrust/MtD(PvP) and staff/scepter auto(PvE) instead of the others. Clone death condis combined with PU makes for a very annoying build that allows for little skilled counterplay unless you happen to be an ele, engi or similar AoE-spammy build.
Not necessarily OP mind you, just not fun to play against and contributes little to nothing for your team (in any game mode) beyond drawing undeserved aggro.
I gotta admit I’m facing more and more people just mindlessly murdering clones with 1 autoattack (I hate medi guards) and short of running an interrupt build (again I hate medi blockguards) there’s few if any ways to punish that.
Which further pushes us back to burst and run.
There needs to be a way to stop people simply destroying our shatter resources or DPS phantasms so easily.
Ugh, no. Those traits are garbage and have no place in the game.
ANet just needs to cut it out with the knee-jerk balancing, put us back to where we were on June 23, then take a kittening across-the-board look at their game’s kittenty balance instead of just hammering down whatever the PvP forum is whining about most that day.

I will be perfectly “fine” with AoE blind and vulnerability on clone death, sounds balanced right?
No thanks, there are enough mesmers playing these total rubbish condition builds where they just dodge around with staff and think they are actually useful. All it takes is one half decent dd ele to negate your gimmicks.
Clone death was a lazy playstyle without much counterplay besides “just don’t fight it”, so no. Besides, Master Fencer is way better than Confusing Combatants could ever hope to be.

Never liked clone death builds.
I enjoy the concept, but only if it were our main way of doing combat. That is, have very realistic clones which confuse enemies, and attacking the wrong target hurts them.
Since that’s not how they worked out: meh.
To add to what I said earlier, I don’t want damaging conditions on clone deaths. I want weakness and cripple back or some adjustment to clones as they are far too easily cleaved out and our production comes at the cost of defence or is too slow.
I honestly prefer that clones do not have on-death procs. The Mesmer is already incredibly strong in 1v1 as well as team-fights as +1, and being able to spam clones into a team-fight for weakness just sounds like something that would put the class over the top. A low duration of cripple might be okay, though.
No thanks, I’m glad they’re gone.
I’d rather have MtD reverted or F2 buffed.
At the moment we’re ok without them (still think clones are dying too easy even to cele amulet) as we have PU and BD but when (and they will due to wine) they get nerfed we will need something to compensate.
PU is less of an issue in PvP because of the huge amounts of things to LoS behind and hide but in WvW it will effectively make Mesmer into a roaming buddy with thieves with it generally lacking escape without traveler runes which imo would suck immensely given how many other roaming classes have huge amounts of mobility and swiftness.
