I used to love pvp and was pretty good at it. Got my dragon rank and continued to play with friends. Now I pretty much avoid pvp even when I get asked and haven’t even played 1 match since the leagues started because of everything I have heard about it. I just got tired of how horrible the balance is.

Now why can’t anet just try one test with splitting Pvp balance changes with Pve? It was done with gw1 and it should be done with gw2. Its two completely different games and skills/traits should not be balanced to work between both game modes. This 50% (why is every nerf done by increments of 50%?) nerf to alacrity because of the affect it had to Pve ruins a lot of the viability of mesmer in other aspects of the game such as raids. Their dmg isn’t balanced compared to other classes and alacrity/quickness really made them a fun and viable class to play since their dmg numbers just aren’t there.

I think they should go as far as making a completely different trait set for pvp and pve. This could create more choices and builds since each trait would actually be meaningful to pvp or the game mode its designed to be for. I know this would create a lot more work, but aren’t these guys paid to work on kitten for the game and not just to slap random nerfs to skills people cry about and then outrageous buffs to builds people don’t use. This could be seen as a bit of a rant, but I don’t think anyone can argue that pvp and pve modes should be 100% separate. The only thing keeping me playing this game atm is my raid group. I don’t play anymore other than to log on for them.
