Guild Wars 2

At the moment it feels we don’t have a huge variety of weapons to play with in the DPS department. I wonder if the devs are thinking of allowing us 1 more mainhand weapon to mix things up. I think a pistol mainhand would be cool and allow us to create a purely ranged dps build… (contrary to this maybe have a way to make a pure melee build). I guess you can always wield the staff with two swords.

Anyone tried an illusion build with Scepter/Focus / Greatsword?

Why do we need a “DPS weapon”? Wouldn’t it be smarter to not have weapons which do inherently more damage than others? Like in, balance?

What I meant by a DPS weapon is another weapon that is a little more favourable for a damage build.

Hi there! I’m really new to this game and this prof. I use a sword/pistol and staff. I find the staff awesome with all the conditions you can apply to the enemy+ survivability thanks to chaos armor. I’m not an expert, not even close, but if i had to chose the best weapon, it would be the staff
