Hey, to start off i want to say i have looked at the stickied outfit opic above(went through every single page)and gw2armorgallery and couldnt find anything i like.

Im looking for a good look for my norn mesmer(dont care if male/female), my main problem is that with a lot of armors make the running look absolutely kittened, and right now the only leggings that i have seen solve that problem are T1.

I dont want to see flamekissed/winged.

Norn T2 is actually quite decent on females and still within reasonable cost. I also like the slim/metallic lined parts of CoE. Some of the crafted armor can look great if you piece together parts (winged skirt goes well CoE chest). HotW armor is nice as well.

My main problem is that 95% of all armour is skirts skirt skirts skirts and more skirts. The armour that is pants generally have some kind of semi-skirt around them, ruining it. There’s medium armour that look lighter than light armour kitten . There is heavy armour that look lighter. Almost every time they introduced new armor in the store its been laughable. Completely different design to medium/heavy.

After 1 year of drowning in skirts, I finally went for the only option…

This was, if I recall correctly, a mix of Vigil and T1 norn cultural armors. I created this character when I had an empty character slot to see what I could do with a norn mesmer. I originally had planned for my mesmer to be a norn male… but with the addition of the sylvari (and because of how cartoony and He-Manish norn males are), I didn’t. The character slot I used is now occupied by an asura engineer.

after checking evry armorset, i mixed up a bit to fit a more theme based outfit.
some player once told me it looks somehow “druidish”.
somehow yes. i would describe it more like a warlock style mesmer
it still misses my fav armor for chest.

mix of:
t1 and t2 cultural armor (i like parts of t3 but its far too expensive for me)
headmask from lvl1
dungeon set pieces:
twilight arbor

IMO, best looking armors are mixed ones. I really hate how I can’t find a good chest armor that will show my norn tattoos. Even the light racial armors don’t show skin. The only chest that show some skin are SE, Vigil, Flamekissed, TA (barely), Tactical, Masquerade (PvP only) and Feathered.

Also, I hate skirts, it makes the running funny. They make jumping puzzles harder when I can’t see where my char feet land.
