were very limited to Main hand weps? Feel like certain main hand weps are useless or just really bad.

Why i Use Staff+Great sword but any idea why were getting shield instead of another main hand wep like pistol ? Or mace?

There is heavy speculation that we may get a main hand pistol since the devs said we are getting something “just as good” kitten new total weapon skills. But who knows

We’re limited in our main hand weapons because… we’re limited in our mainhand weapons. There’s only two. That’s more than one, but less than three :/

Oh yes. It’s not Anet limiting main-hand weapons for Mesmers, but the players limited mental capacity on how to use those limited weapons. And this is what fly’s for customer relations with Anet.. Nice!!

I’m going to start limiting my customers to my two choices and blame them when their not happy with them. If it works for Anet why not me right.

No, there was heavy speculation about mainhand pistol. Then the devs said explicitly that each class would only be getting a single new weapon.

Oddly enough, there still is some speculation about a mainhand pistol. Why there still is, one can only guess.

We won’t get a mainhand pistol because we have asked for it before, because it would make more sense than some random shield and because people at anet haven’t played a mesmer outside of Lion’s Arch in the past 2,5 years.

There is still speculation because giving us a mainhand pistol is not giving us a new weapon, it’s making an offhand weapon now a mainhand option. The shield would technically be the only new weapon. I doubt this is the kind of logic anet will be employing though.

If we can maintain the speculation long enough and foster a genuine belief we’re getting it somewhere along the line by raw fiat, then when HoT is released and the MH pistol isn’t there we can lament Anet’s failure, betrayal, and hatred for the Mesmer class.

There is the saying, “Have faith and faith shall be given unto you” So if we believe we have a mainhand pistol, anet will give us one? To be honest, I fully expect anet will end up caving and giving a mainhand pistol when the mesmers start demanding refunds for HoT under false advertising law, you lot should check out Australian consumer law, if what Mesmer’s get can be proven to be not as good as three additional mainhand skills then they would be forced to refund all Australian purchases :P

HAHAHAH IM DYING X) the irony is too real. Most of the speculation i’ve seen is about Mesmer getting main hand pistol. Even though we are only getting one NEW weapon and it may be offhand (shield), pistol isn’t exactly a NEW weapon for Mesmer now is it. Hence why we could be getting both. Oh Mesmers, you crafty little rule breakers X)
