Recently started going out with GS/Staff x 2.

One set has +10 power per kill on it. So I will use that set till I have the 25 kill cap.

Then I switch over to my set that is more precisions and 3 stacks of might for 20 sec when swap

I think noone does it because they share cooldowns and you get a lot of downtime/autoattack-AFKing off that.

I think I misunderstood. You mean the bloodlust buff sticks with you after you remove the weapon in which it is attached? That’s a good idea =p

Personally I find it too tedious to swap in that manner. I just use the sigil on my dual wield weapon swap.

Example:

GS: Air
Sword: Air
Focus: Bloodlust

If I were filthy rich and had nothing better to spend my $ on, I might get another set, but those things are pretty expensive for someone that doesn’t rice farm :P.

Yes, people certainly do this. For me the remote chance of getting that many kills without dying isn’t worth planning for.

Well, IIRC in sPvP each kill is worth 5 stacks.

In WvW you can pick up kills from PvE mobs along the way, as well as guards / NPCs, and you don’t need to inflict the killing blow or anything — down a random player and you’ll get creadit for their death.

The stacks only go away if you zone.

So getting 25 is pretty easy if you go whack 25 things first, then change over to your other set.

Just works for me

The thing you cant do is get stacks of different types, ie power and condition

I do this with greatsword, get my 25 stacks, then switch to 5% damage with my rune of the scholar for 15% damage, my numbers are high.

If you have a decent crit rate, try Air sigil over Force. 2k Air procs every 5-8 seconds will usually be better than 5% of overall damage.

I use sword+focus (with accuracy) you get 2 stacks per kill…

Then just agro 5 wolves take some of their health make then call budies so now its 10 wolves Iberserker+blurred frenzy and VoilĂ  20 stacks in 30 seconds.

well nerf inc.

Heh, nice Hynoris, hadnt even considered that, or grubs in orr or whatever.

I didnt know though that two of them on two weapons in same set (ie sword/focus) would give 2 per kill. Good to know

I like fire better than air for GS. In wvw anyways.

I cant see fire being better than 3 stacks of might for 20 sec

Might is 0.375 * Level + 5 = Power and Condition Damage per stack so +105 Power and Damage for 20 sec for each weapon you swap to.

Damage done = (weapon damage) * Power * (skill-specific coefficient) / (target’s Armor)

So it increases damage directly, and condition damage as well.

How can a chance for fire AOE ever X sec beat that?
