Dear Fellow mesmers,

I am in a position where I have 65 laurels and 12 guild commendations. That means 1 ascended amulet, 1 ascended accessory and 1 ascended ring.

I usually play a 0-30-20-15-5 or 20-20-0-30 build so Power-Precision-Toughness and crit damage are my main priorities.

Staff (knight)/ Sword – Pistol (berserkers)

Around:
2900-3000 Power
50-70% crit chance (sigil precision, oil and butternut squash)
55-70% crit damage (with food)
2600-2850+ armor
16000-17500 health

I love the celestial type of trinkets but the spread do not favor specialized builds.

Any specific tastes? Any preferences? Let me know your opinion as my math establishes that the difference between exotics and ascended is veryyyy small.

Unless you absolutely hate fractals, I would suggest leaving fractals to get the rings. Between drops and pristine relics, you should get your rings relatively fast. From there, get your amulet from laurels and the accessories from guild commendations. If you really want to fill your slots, get an accessory with laurels, but Ecto’s are used in everything so it might not be something you want.

If you want a celestial, offer a ring or your amulet for the celestial stat, possibly even one accessory as well, but that’s about it. From there, it’s just a matter of Berserk vs Valk/Cavalier/Soldier/Knight. That’s up to you.

For fractals, you get to level 10. Then each day run a level 10 fractal. There’s a chance for a random ascended ring on completion, and you’ll get 1 token thingie, 10 of which buys you a ring.

When I got my first set I got 1 ring via random reward, and brought the other with my tokens.

Since Ascended gear are all in the jewelry spots, get a mix of berserker and cavalier (power/toughness/crit damage). Each of those Ascended items have +5% to +9% crit damage which is a lot more than what your armor offers.

Any build that uses crit damage at all and don’t have those two sets for ascended equipment loses on stats.

never. NEVER. NEVER!!!!! buy ring from laurel. it take 35 day for ring. when in fractal if u dont get it from daily chest u can buy it in 10 days.
