August 20th Patch: Thank you so much!
HOORAAY!!!!!!! Now I can have a shiny/flashy off-hand and confuse my opponents more and make them try to guess which is the real me! :-D
But seriously, I am very happy for this update! ^^
Only took 1 year
Oh my…
Thank you Anet
and thank you OP for letting us know. =)
Extreme joy right now.
Why do they not include these kind of things in patch notes? >_>
Nonetheless, thank you so much!
Okay, our clones have off-hand weapons, however they can’t kill kitten white rabbit in single hit now and often die just like npcs die(issuing grunts and dropping on the ground), not dissipate.
And did i mention those new fallback models screwing our clone looks?
The fallback models aren’t new. Been in WvW for months now.
Oh. Well. I don’t play it anyway. I think killing one dolyak and getting more wxp than killing 5 players in a row is silly. But I digress.
Clones that scream when they die are definitely something new.
They need to exclude our own clones from culling protocols. This messes with my immersion. I play mesmer for butterflies and flock of mini me’s.

True, the own ones being affected is weird. Are your limits set to very low levels?

As high as possible.
Odd. I ran another invasion just this morning, and not once were players close enough to me affected that it affected my illusions. Ofc, it should never happen to the player himself, but even then I haven’t seen the effect yet.
And mine are at medium~high, basically. I wonder whether there’s something different per-server.
woooooooooooooow :o
They just leave the best things out of the patch notes xD
Warning: link may contain traces of awesome.
Lyssa’s Grimoire – a guide every Mesmer should read.
At this rate, we’ll have our bugs fixed by the launch of Guild Wars 2.
I’m happy this was fix. The only thing I scratch my head about is why it wasn’t in the patch notes. Now if Anet would just revert the confusion nerf, or at least make confusion useful, I would actually start liking them.
It probably wasn’t in the patchnotes because it seems very last-minute. It’s quite buggy.
Have you ever seen mesmer bugfix that wasn’t buggy?
Well what I mean is, I think it wasn’t even intended as a bugfix. Or rather, it wasn’t originally intended it would go out with this patch already.
