Auto Attack speed of clones is not the same.
I have also noticed this but on the staff clones
That’s one way to look at it. The other is that underwater it’s to fast. Le’gasp!
But i thought they had always attacked slower.. :/
I prefer the underwater attack speed but even I have to admit that would be insane on land.
I think that the attack speed of land Clones could do with a slight buff, and I’d really like to see Scepter Clones use the entire chain; modified to not conjure Clones on Ether Clone. Underwater Clones IIRC all attack at the same speed (or close to the same speed) as the Mesmer, which as said is quite OP for the Trident.
@OP
Applying conditions is not reliable to count attacks. Scepter does not apply conditions, trident does.
Clones do attack slower than yourself and especially the scepter is slower the further you are away from the target.
Complaining that the scepter is slower than the trident is just calling ANet to nerf trident clones. Especially since the trident ones deal conditions from their weapons.
Generally speaking about clone abilities:
- Staff: Bleed/ Burning/ Vulnerability (33% each) & Might/ Fury (50% each)
- Sword: Vulnerability/ Boon removal (depending on chain hit)
- Trident: Bleed (100%) & Might/ Swiftness/ Vigor (33% each)
- Scepter: -
- GS: -
- Spear: -
Only natural that scepter clones cause less conditions … (exc you have “on clone death” traits).
I just wanted to say that, Nretep. The Trident-clones apply 2 Bleeding stacks per attack + 1 stack per crit due to Sharper Images.
Also, in a way GS and Spear have secondary effects:
- Greatsword: Hits 3x per attack, making it better with Sharper Images than other clones.
- Spear: Invulnerable during the attacks (I think, I haven’t tested this in ages but in beta they used the final strike of the chain!).
Spear Clones now use the full chain, so presumably they do use Evasive Strike.
And Trident Clones need to be nerfed.
