That’s a trick I’m not familiar with, but I asume it has something to do with transmutation? But how do you get it to work with the whole soulbound thing?

Transmuting takes the soulbound out of it, I believe it then becomes accountbound.

Anet touched on it earlier and they said they didn’t have an issue with it

It is a necro mask transmuted- for the eyes.

Step 1) Make Necro.
Step 2) Get Necro to lvl 10.
Step 3) Buy a white lvl 10 head piece.
Step 4) Transmute the eyes onto the head piece.
Step 5) Put head piece in bank.
Step 6) Log desired toon.
Step 7) Transmute headpiece onto desired headpiece.

That should be about right.

Even easier, make Necro, get them out of starter mission, buy cheapest headpiece you can get from the TP, transmute to make account bound, then use another transmutation stone (or fine one) to transmute onto your actual headpiece.
No need to level to 10.

Personally, I’m not a fan of any of the looks here, and there’s been no armour in GW2 that screams “Mesmer!” at me. The closest I’ve gotten to a proper Mesmer look is human tier 1 cultural or just bog-standard starter gear.

Mesmers should look more Thespian, more “Haute Couture”. They need to be elegant, with their clothing cutting simple lines.

Having GW2 casters all share the same armour appearance was a really bad idea.

But why would a Charr or Norn or Asura or Sylvari look like a thespian. Sorry, as ANet explained, mesmer is not because they are thespians, it is that most found the call of a thespian natural given their talents. Norn would have been called to be Skalds, and Charr would have joined the Ash Legion most likely. Ash are skulks, and Skalds live in the unforgiving Shiverpeaks, you would not catch them dressing like dilly dally actors.

No matter what you say, the evidence is before your eyes. There is no look that is consistent with that of the Mesmer in GW1.
You can say what you like; personally, I’ve never seen ArenaNet say such a thing, so I’m calling hearsay.
And canon here is a poor defense when all caster looks have been so atrociously homogenised.

Here’s mine, just a simple swordsman look with a fancy hat/mask.

It is a hodge podge!

Chest, Legs, and Boots are Vigil light armor.

Gloves are Embroidered(the low level crafted stuff)

Mantle is the high level Country set.

Mask is the Necro Trickster demon mask using the transmute trick.
